Ashley's is a unique owner-run restaurant that specializes in optimizing and perfecting the family dining experience. The first thing you see when you walk in is a big smile from either the owner or one of the staff members. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and, as the name suggests, you immediately feel like you're with family. Ashley's offers a wide variety of dishes including delicious seafood, steaks, burgers, pasta, pizzas, ribs and chicken. A special carvery is served on Wednesdays from 6 pm to and on Sundays from 11.30 am to 3.30 pm. Ashley calls this "mamma se kos", translated "mom's food". Look out for daily specials and excellent deals. The restaurant is child friendly with its own kiddies birthday club and a kiddies menu which is also available for the not-so-hungry adults. There is a children's play area, a baby changing station and high chairs for toddlers. The restaurant also caters for functions with a range of menus to choose from. Unpretentious, warm and back to your roots is what you'll experience at Ashley's.

Die Kliphuis is literally on the beach - no road in between - and offers the most stunning views of the vast Atlantic Ocean. Be sure to try catch a sunset. Right after you are led to your beautifully dressed table, a chair gets pulled out for you and heated towels are provided to wash your hands. This might sound quite pretentious, but in this setting you will feel true chivalry instead of an uppity atmosphere. You are then treated to bread and sometimes a small cup of soup to get that appetite going. The menu is large and you will find yourself spoilt for choice. Try the chicken cordon bleu, juicy and perfectly cooked, one of the succulent steaks or one of the many freshly prepared seafood dishes. Here you can saunter in the sun, breathe clean sea air and enjoy a lazy glass of wine and a great meal.
