Constantia 5 Rooms restaurant can be found on the beautiful Alphen Estate in Constantia. The restaurant is set in the historic Manor House which creates an Old World, stylish atmosphere that exudes the class and elegance of bygone eras. The interior is filled with antiques juxtaposed by modern, fine dining cuisine.
The menu caters for all tastes and meat, seafood and vegetarian options are varied and plentiful. Only the freshest produce is used and this shines through in the bursts of flavour delivered on every plate. Try the imaginative Fish Tank, a mix of seafood served in a glass fish bowl - what an experience. The lamb trilogy is also a favourite and comprises lamb loin, lamb tortellini and a succulent lamb cutlet.
A great, extensive wine list and a range of other beverages including whiskeys and smooth cognacs are served to complement the cuisine.
This is the ideal setting for private functions and special occasions and proves to be a treat for the laymen, the foodie and the connoisseur.

The tempura prawns with chilli mayonnaise and ginger and butternut soup with croutons are also not to be missed.
Try your palate at some game with the pan-fried blesbok rolled in mixed peppercorns with a juniper berry sauce. The panfried sole in a foamy butter sauce with lemon and parsley is a real melt-in-your-mouth option. A more traditional option is the vegetarian lasagne, rich in flavour and extremely decadent.
