Description
Walvis Bay Airport is the second largest in Namibia and one of three International airports in Namibia. Situated in the Namib Desert 15km (nine miles) east of Walvis Bay, passengers can enjoy scenic views while taking off or landing. Daily flights are available from Johannesburg and Cape Town (except Saturdays).
Getting to Walvis Bay town centre is relatively easy with the airport shuttle bus - bookings should be made in advance. Avis and Budget have car rental kiosks at the airport. Other facilities at Walvis Bay Airport include a restaurant, gift shop, baby room, post box, public telephones, mobile phone rentals and Internet.
