We have visited Myatt's more than once and was always satisfied with the quality, quantity and presentation of the dishes.
The waitresses however need to improve on friendliness and courteousness.
Will recommend Myatt's to others.

After our first pleasant visit to Myatt a month ago, we wanted a treat once again and headed back ( Sunday 26th Feb 12)
What a disappointment! On entering the seating area we noticed tables that hadn't been cleared and nobody there to great us or show us to a table, as we experienced previously. Service was extremely slow, and after waiting some time I got up to look at the cake display. I chose a cake which I was told was the double dense chocolate cake which I had loved on my previous visit, my companion orded a scone.
Well I must say the tiny scone and the fact that there is no choice of jam other than strawberry leaves a lot to be desired. The cherry on the cake was that my dense chocolate cake was in fact some form of dry pecan nut cake with what tasted like icing from a ready mix box on it. Your website claims to be of an opulent nature but alas we had a wobbly table with napkins used to steady it and adjacent a couple of chairs had tatty upholstery. When the young lady brought us our bill it was in this box like container that was hanging together by a thread aswell. Unfortunately after waiting for the very slow service one does notice these things. On the way out I over heard another customer telling the waitress that she goes there often but on that particular occasion the service was dreadful. All I can say is if I'm going to pay those kind of prices I want something really out of the norm, I honestly dont know if we will return for another visit.
