Bloemhof Karoo is a historic home, once owned by Professor Christiaan Barnard. This bed and breakfast rests graciously amongst kopjes on a working farm in the Northern Cape, Great Karoo.
With three guest rooms and three bathrooms, the house can comfortably sleep up to seven guests. One of the rooms has two additional rooms adjacent to it that are ideal for children. There are two dining rooms and a sunroom, where guests have the opportunity for privacy or communal enjoyment. Guests can relax in the lounge, where there is a well-stocked bar.
The lounge opens onto a protected braai area on the wrap-around veranda. There are seating areas outside under enormous pepper trees, and guests can refresh themselves in the farm swimming facilities.
The bed and breakfast provides a range of activities, including a 40 minute guided Karoo walk, game drives on an adjoining private game reserve, and picnics and sundowners.
