Accommodation is provided in comfortable Safari Tents, Rooms and Cottages. We also offer a self-camping option in the spacious garden for those with their own equipment, as well as a comfortable rent-a-mobile tent with or without bedding. All accommodations are sited with splendid views over the lake.

The resort is ecologically built with local materials and is locally owned, providing important employment opportunities for the people around the lake. Lake Bunyonyi has no crocodiles or hippos and due to its altitude, malaria is rather scarce.

With many years of providing tourism services to visitors to Lake Bunyonyi, we offer great value for money facilities and a very professional service. We work directly with local guides from within the community to escort you on village walks. Amajambere Iwacu Community Camp is located at the entrance to Mgahinga National Park and is only 12 km from the south-western town of Kisoro, near the Rwandan border. At the camp, visitors can enjoy the magnificent views of the famous Virunga Volcanoes and take part in monkey trekking as it is located at the starting point for golden monkey trekking through the National Park.

Guests can choose between the Campsite, Dormitories or Bandas. The camp has a wide area for camping as well as five Bandas of which two serve as dormitories. The spacious gathering shelter with indoor and outdoor dining serves typical Ugandan meals and has a well-stocked canteen serving beers, sodas, snacks and basic essentials.

Amajambere Iwacu Community Camp was established in 1994 by 33 families who were displaced at the gazetting of Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. The camp runs an eco-community camp for tourists just outside the main gate of the National Park. Apart from providing accommodation for tourists, the camp also supports community-based initiatives such as a handcraft group for women. There are different volunteer projects you can get involved with during your stay; consider teaching at a local community kindergarten, teach conservation education in nearby public schools or lend a helping hand at the local health clinic.

Red Chilli Rest Camp is a safari camp located in the heart of Murchison Falls National Park, on the south bank of the Nile River. The camp caters mainly for budget travellers.

Accommodation is in form of furnished bandas and safari tents with public or private bathrooms. Camping facilities include modern showers and toilets, as well as a cooking area and security lighting.

The camp has a restaurant that serves international and local cuisines, and a fully stocked bar. They are both situated within a thatched house giving a lovely view of the Nile River. A bonfire is lit most evenings for the full safari experience as well as to provide warmth.

Camp Ndegeya is a perfect getaway haven for regular camping, picnic, retreats and for those who would be seeking an adventure away from the city life. It is also good for visitors who want to learn about the role of art in development of this impoverished community, Ndegeya.

Camp Ndegeya has a proper kitchen with a chef and helpers who are always at full service to our guests and on request the kitchen is available to those who might prefer to cook for themselves, especially those that book as a group.

The campsite has both male and female bathrooms that are separated from each other. All the bathrooms have running water connected to a heater that warms it every morning and evening.

The campsite has a couple of mountain bikes available for guests to rent and we wish to inform you that doing a village tour of Weaver Bird, Ndegeya on a bike is such a remarkable experience. If you wish to visit during the weekend when Weaver Bird Arts Foundation hosts its quarterly Art Camps, you may get the opportunity to ride alongside local cyclists who occasionally come through for a cycling completion called Tour Weaver Bird.

If you are not self-driven or in your private vehicle, the most available means of transport in the area is by motor taxis, also known as Boda Boda to and from Masaka town plus surrounding areas. They are affordable and it only costs Ush3000 or $1.05 to or from Masaka Town

For guest who may want to go swimming, Masaka Town has a couple of Hotel swimming pools where a small fee up to Ush5000 is charged per person. You may also want to go out of town to Lake Nabugabo which is about an hour or less away and it has three popular beaches. Nabugabo Sand Beach is the most popular one where fun activities like volleyball, donkey riding and swimming are offered.

The small-scale set-up built along ecological principals and the unique setting, where animals room in and out the camp, offers a unique opportunity to experience a safari as it once was in East Africa.

The lodge currently consists of six self-contained units which are spaciously placed between the indigenous bush. The rooms are made from a fine combination of canvas and local materials, and are built to ensure the best views on the seasonal Kamera River. As the bush lodge is located just outside the National Park, we can offer guests a walking safari through our surroundings. Several circuits through the open savannah or along the crater lakes of Queen Elizabeth National Park rewards visitors with a marvellous safari experience. In addition, the riverine forest of Kyambura gorge is home to a habituated chimp community, and guided walking tours, organized by UWA, offer a chance to see these and other primates in their natural habitat.

CTPH Gorilla Conservation Camp is one of Bwindi’s only budget options offering accommodation on the edge of the beautiful Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. For those who don’t want to splash out on staying in one of the high end lodges and also want to give something back to a local project, CTPH Gorilla conservation camp offers rustic but comfortable accommodation for tourists, students and researchers and puts 100% of profits towards gorilla conservation.

The camp was the first to be operational in the area when Bwindi Impenetrable National Park was opened for Gorilla Tourism in 1993. Today the camp has four single or double tents based around a shaded dining area set among the trees. Located in Buhoma Village CTPH conservation camp is in close proximity to the Batwa village and only 2 km from the entrance to the national park.

The camp is also home to CTPH’s Gorilla Research Clinic, which you can visit during your stay. The clinic works in conjunction with Ugandan Wildlife Authority to analyses gorilla data to help prevent the spread of disease between the local population and the gorillas, helping to conserve the endangered mountain gorilla. Bwindi is home to half the mountain gorillas in the world and staying at CTPH conservation camp you are helping to ensure their survival.
