Turkana Lokichoggio Airport in the town of Lokichoggio, lies in very close proximity to the countries of South Sudan and Uganda. This civilian airport is home to one of the world's biggest humanitarian aid projects. These aid groups – the World Food Program (WFP) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), run global aid projects to the neighbouring country of South Sudan.
