Take a jaunt up north to the Breede River Valley for a few days of fine horses, fresh air and wildflowers. Nestled in the heart of the Winterhoek and Witzenberg mountains is the atmospheric little dorp of Tulbagh which puts on an annual Wild Flower Exhibition showcasing their rich endemic flora as well as the National Horse Championships. Mosey around various exhibitions, art and craft stalls, food stalls groaning with local fare and of course slake your thirst at the wine and beer garden. There’s entertainment for the whole family – go and have a jol in Tulbagh this spring!
