Part of the Cape Dutch Quarters portfolio, the original wagon shed of the manor house is a lovely conversion that retains the charm of its original purpose, with a thatched roof and a high reed ceiling. Heavy wooden doors with forged hinges open onto an inner set of windows.
The unit consists of an open-plan living and lounge area, with a sofa set, a yellowwood dinner table, an antique French wardrobe, and a beautiful queen-size, extra-length, four-poster bed. The fully equipped kitchenette is perfect for light meals and is equipped with a microwave, a hot plate, a kettle, a toaster and a fridge. The charming en-suite bath and shower room is decorated with handmade tiles and Victorian finishes, while the extra-length bath is perfect for winter soaks and the separate open shower is ideal for cooling off in the summer.
The Wagon Shed also features a private veranda with a small private garden that looks onto Tulbagh's historic Church Street and is perfect for a barbecue or enjoying a warm Tulbagh evening under the vines. Guests also have full use of Tulbagh's Cape Dutch Quarters' pool, deck, gardens and roof terrace.
