Celebrate summer at the popular Strawberries and Jazz Fair this November. The Stellenbosch Fresh Goods Market situated at the Oude Libertas in Stellenbosch hosts a stage for Food, Wine, Theatre and Creative Arts.
This authentic Slow Food market supports over 100 find high-quality specialty producers, food artisans, local and regional farmers, natural and organic merchants, seasonal goods, responsible and sustainable enterprises and fine-food purveyors.
Surrounded by the legendary oak trees and vineyards of the Stellenbosch winelands, the market has become an institution in the region and a very popular Saturday morning destination for local families and tourists alike. Cheese-making workshops, bread-baking, food and wine-pairings as well as regular themed markets showcase seasonal products.
Come and enjoy the local champagnes and strawberries whilst lazing on the beautiful picnic lawns listening to the sounds of jazz musicians.
The Hearth Fair has also been incorporated on the first Saturday of every month – don’t miss this market for “hot of the press’ designer goods and fashion.
The Hearth Fair at Stellenbosch Fresh Goods Market is a collectiveness of artists, crafters and emerging designers, members from local community-based projects, people from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds to the independent entrepreneur and all other individuals that believes in the equality of all the arts and the importance and pleasure of work.
