Nice little town - First time in St Lucia, has a wonderful holiday feel to it. Nice weather even in winter we swam everyday.
Unique African Experience - My 1st visit to this part of our country and I was overwhelmed by the beauty & nature that one encounters when staying in the town, from hippos walking down the main street, to Leopard being spotted in the suburbs. A real treat for anyone wanting to experience SA's natural beauty on the north east coast.
My first visit - Friendly and breath-taking! Incredible place to enjoy nature and the African bush. Walk-ways and boat access enable one to get a close-up and awesome experience of this unique place, so close to "civilisation".
Awesome - Best place to go on holiday, every place is closeby and you can enjoy every day
Beautiful place - Everything is literally 5 mins away. Beaches are lovely. Very serene place. Natural, unspoilt environment.
Fabulous - So much to do, needed more than one week. Love that nature is on your doorstep literally. Experienced hippo walking in the street. Value for money and so clean as well.
Awesome Holiday - Lovely and friendly place, we travelled from Swaziland to this amazing place with a great atmosphere, lovely & clean beaches. We will definitely return.
St Lucia, a hidden gem! - We had no idea what to expect of St Lucia. Travelling down from a very wet holiday in Cathedral Peak, we feared more of the same! The weather was warm and bright, just the job! Every way you turned, there was something to surprise you. The wild animals were superb and included Hippos, monkeys, wonderful birds, deer, water buffalo, zebras, warthogs etc etc.
Our trip to Cape Vidal was brilliant, even if the monkeys did steal our lunch!
An absolutely fantastic place!

Far too little time to see everything!
Unfortunately we only had three days in St Lucia, it is beautiful and there is so much to experience. The boat tour is highly recommendable: we saw many hippos and had a great guide. When touring we were very close to zebras and wildebeest.
Fantastic small town with lovely beaches and friendly folks - There is so much to do or just relax and enjoy the views
Small town - Warm and friendly people.
Too commercial - Try somewhere else - mainly for staying. It is not worth staying in this place. Visiting is enough! You can stay somewhere else for instance at the Cheese Farm or Mtatubatuba. If it is possible stay at a different place. The enviroment is OK but the hotels are bad! Croc Centre and Cape Vidal are OK.

Nice - Very nice and lots of entertainment.
Cape vidal - Best beach in SA!
First time in St Lucia - Great place, first time there. Just a pity of the very loud music and mess at the parking lot to the beach. The rest of the town and facilities are awesome. We will be back many times.
Great place! - We had an amazing time. The was only one flaw - the parties at the beach and people leaving empty bottles and a mess.
Awesome - Nice place. It's welcoming and quiet. Good for resting and a holiday.
St Lucia - Very nice and so was the accommodation next door to The Bridge.
Great! - Lovely place. Nice restaurants and shops. A quiet busy place with a lot of things to do in a beautiful area.
Paradise! - St Lucia is a lovely little town with lots of activities and tours to enjoy. You have the best of both - Bush and Beach. The Park was proclaimed a World Heritage Site because of the rich biodiversity, unique ecosystems and natural beauty occurring in a relatively small area. The reason for the huge diversity in fauna and flora is the great variety of different ecosystems ranging from coral reefs and sandy beaches to subtropical dune forests, savannas, and wetlands. Animals you may see include elephants, leopard, black and white rhino, buffalo, and in the ocean, whales, dolphins, and marine turtles including the leatherback and loggerhead turtles.

St Lucia - Overall St Lucia is the ideal place to go when you want to just get away from it all and have a break. We loved it there, the people are so friendly and welcoming and just gives such a warm pleasant feeling overall.
St Lucia will definitely be seeing us again. We had many good experiences and we all had fun.
We find St Lucia absolutely amazing!
A must to visit - A place to visit in St Lucia is the Fisherman's Restaurant, Pub and take away. The food is the best! It might not look like much from the outside, but once you're in, the atmosphere, people and food will forever fill your heart with a longing to return for more. This is a truly warm South African place to visit, where tourist can see how the true South Africans get together to watch our favourite sports, drink our favourite drinks and eat the best seafood on the planet.
Great basecamp - St Lucia is a not very commercial little town with a one-main street busy street (i.e. a strip with gas pump, supermarket, restaurants, stores) and a small grit of lanes and avenues. Hippo's may stroll the streets at night. Don't panic.

Awesome - St Lucia is an awesome place to be, lots to do as well as a relaxful destination if you don't want to do anything but soak up the sun.
Night Drive - Een night drive met de eigenaar van de Hornbill House. Geweldige ervaring.
Paradise - St Lucia is just beautiful a real paradise with so much to do in and around the area. The people are so friendly and helpful. There is just too many superlatives to describe this place, so just book up and go see for yourself
St Lucia - It was and is still a good destination for a holiday
Great taste of good weather in the middle of winter - We enjoyed just two days in St. Lucia and Cape Vidal. It was worth the driving to get away from the cold of winter - even for a while. Loved the coast and sand as well as the dunes and hiking of Cape Vidal.
St Lucia, a must visit - If you do not visit to see the area you are missing out! Beautiful beaches, boat trip, forest walks - it's all there! A must do is the boat trip to see the Hippos, Crocs and the wonderful bird life!!!
A favourite for us!!! - Beautiful place to be, love the Hippo's and relaxing atmosphere. Will be back.

St Lucia town - The town has a specific flair that will always bring you back.
Lots to do - Haven't been before but I think we have found our new holiday destination. Lots to do. I think we will give the busy times a miss though
Relaxing holiday destination - You can't get bored at St Lucia. There's a whole lot to do. My son enjoyed himself at the beach. We did the hippo and croc cruise. The restaurant food, cocktails and biltong were divine! There's a whole lot to keep you busy throughout your holiday. Magnificent! I love the place.
Nice break away from the city - This was our 3rd visit to St Lucia and we will keep coming back. It's a safe and clean town with the friendliest people and the nicest, freshly baked buns at Spar. St Lucia is a must for anyone that wants to break away from the city buzz.
A sound choice! - As always, a lovely place to stay - game parks & the sea at your finger tips. A lovely choice of dining options & all the different supply stores for all your needs!
St Lucia - a destination for the whole family - Stunning place to visit. A lovely little town feel about it with the most amazing beaches. The bird life is fantastic and it really is wonderful to wake up to the sounds of hippos and fish eagles in the early morning. Vast beaches to walk, fly kites or to just sit and ponder on.
Vidal is a fantastic place to take the kids to. With clear warm waters, snorkeling is a must! Sighting of the Samango monkeys (only found in this area) is wonderful to see.
Hluhluwe/Umfolozi is just around the corner for game viewing if a change in scenery is needed.
There is plenty to do in St Lucia - Hippo & Croc tour, Whale watching (amazing) Crocodile centre, Cape Vidal, Mission Rocks, Wetland Park (we saw a leopard on this drive)
St Lucia and Cape Vidal - St Lucia and Cape Vidal are Beautiful! I will recommend this area to everyone I know. Both places were without litter and the beach at Cape Vidal is awesome. I think St Lucia needs to brush up on people abusing alcohol on the beach – on our very first arrival, some locals could not behave and a fight broke out where police intervention was needed. This is the last thing you want to see when heading for the beach. St Lucia is a bit noisy to my liking; I would prefer a quieter spot.

For beach lovers - St.-Lucia used to be backpackers, but got a real upgrade. Lots of accommodation.
Un-Discovered Paradise - This is an awesome travel destination that offers everything a traveler could wish for: Perfect beaches, African Wildlife, Tropical vegetation combined with Safana, Well equipped lodges, Excellently maintained roads & facilities, Endless entertainment options.
Lovely Palce - Beautiful please, will definitely go back again.
Beautiful - Absolute a stunning place!
Superb Holiday Destination - Clean, friendly environment with beautiful coastline.
I'll be back - We stayed in St Lucia for a week and both my husband and I are convinced that this was the best holiday of our lives. We really enjoyed the surroundings, the people and the hospitality by the locals. We will be back - SOON!
Coastal diversity and water animals - The best thing about St Lucia is as an entrance to glorious Nature Reserve and Cape Vidal for snorkling. Charming town, but quite hectic in year end week. We liked the beaches very much, the boardwalk along the estuary, and good parking lot attendants. We enjoyed the magnificent terrain of the reserve, the vistas of the Lake St Lucia. The shower facilities are excellent at all beaches. New hides and loops in the park made for good animal viewing. Thank you KZN for this Isimangaliso area...a tremendous place to enjoy nature.
St Lucia - Cape Vidal is really worth a couple of visits.Game drives, Surf fishing, snorkelling, Deep sea fishing are some things you must do.The Estuary is disappointing with little or no access to the water.
Restaurants are average and limited shopping basics do run out (petrol, bread and rolls etc) and there seems to be an attitude of service last lets rip off the tourists for as long as we can.
peacefull - It was our first time at St Lucia and we loved it. There is a lot to do. We whent on the crocodile and hippo boat trip and enjoyed it. There is a crocodile farm and its very good. The town is wonderfulle everything is walking distuns and safe to walk even at night. Cape Vidal is wondefull the beach is clean. And the drive in to the beach you can stop to have a picnic lot of wild next to the roads. Monkeys is a little bit of a problem but even with that we had a great laught. St Lucia is the best holiday we ever had
Great - A great place to stay with lots to do. We mostly enjoyed the turtle tour and hippo boat ride.
St Lucia - It's a very fine area..... For all!
A nice holiday destination - St. Lucia is a perfect small town to stay a while. The streets are clean. There are shops and facilities for everything you need. It is a safe town and you can eat very well. We liked our visit to Cape Vidal and it's surrounding game park. We saw lots of hippos and crocs. From St. Lucia we also visited the game park Hluhluwe/Umfolozi wich is only an hour drive away.
