St Lucia - Great holiday destination, pure relaxing once you hit the town. Not much to do but as I said perfect place to unwind. If it rains that when all relaxing stops otherwise great destination.
St Lucia - A lovely family break away. Problematic if it rains for an extended length of time and you have children. Clean, pleasant town.
It is a good destination - Do feel that it is overpriced in some respects and the service and value for money in some restaurants leaves a lot to be desired.
Nice town - Very nice town, I enjoyed it.

If you're a lover of nature, it's were you should be!! - Beautiful view of wildlife in its natural state... big, clean beaches for picnics or deep sea fishing. The walking trails are lots of fun. Perfect place to enjoy with family and friends.
Here nature rules!!! - If you enjoy long walks on the beach, fishing with the kids or game viewing... it's all here.
Dec / Jan Holiday - Just stunning! Really enjoyed ourselves.
St Lucia family visit - Beautiful place for a gateway. Enjoyed horse riding and the boat cruise. Was so fascinsting to see hippo walking around. There was a bit of overcrowding as it was festive, still planning to visit when its off peak.
Holiday - Absolutely beautiful, especially Cape Vidal and the tour on the river to see the hippos and crocs.
Great place - Absolutely beautiful, and wonderful town. A must to try for dining is John Dory's: the food is divine.
Our favourite holiday destination - Perfect destination. As a family this is the place we love most. Cape Vidal is our kind of place. Our girls love searching for animals in the park and the sea. The rhinos are what we watch out for. The guest house, the town and people are so friendly. They make you feel part of their world.

Clean and pretty - St Lucia is a very clean town. The boat ride was good and the Whale Place gave good advice on snorkeling. The Spar is exceptionally expensive. The Braca and Surf and Turn are great dinner venues. The locals are not good for international tourists because they are not very helpful and don't seem to have knowledge of their own area.
Surprising - Much smaller than I anticipated, but even so the people, activities, and food where wonderful. A definite must for nature lovers.
Beauty - Endless sandy beaches, hippos, crocs and friendly people. Was a pleasure to have been to such a beautiful part of the country. There's a mix between tropical forest to swamp wetlands to dunes. Wished I could have seen more animals but I believe that the wind we had makes them hideaway.
Nice place to be - St Lucia is a nice place to see and to stay for a while!

One Week in St Lucia - Beautiful clean town and holiday destination. Has many places to visit, thoroughly enjoyed the wetlands, lake and game parks. However, big disappointment of not having water for 3 days of our 7-day stay.
Relaxed Town - It is a lovely town to relax in.
- Not much to do.
Mini out of city break away - We had a great time in St Lucia. The weather is great there. There's plenty to do such as the market, beach and the Butterfly Sanctuary, which was our highlight of the trip. There's also some whale watching, fishing and a some wild life.
It's a great place for a mini getaway.
Love it - The town is so quaint and I certainly hope that it will never get too commercialized. The shops are great and my favourite coffee shop (Thyme Square) is still there with the same friendly owner!
The walk around the boardwalk to the beach as well as the ski boat club deserves special recognition.
We loved the Hippo and Croc tour with Advantage and found the skipper a lot of fun. Saw our Fish eagle again and that was delightful. The crocs were asleep, I think.
The KZN Parks Board deserves FIVE stars for a well kept and beautiful Wetland Park. (iSimangiliso)
We would like to come back and enjoy the more quiet time of August as I believe December is packed and hot!

Lovely holiday spot - Lots to do, we went to two game parks, a butterfly park, cheese farm, went down the estuary on a cruise and saw plenty of hippos and crocodiles. Nice little town.

Love St Lucia - Throughout the years we have travelled around South Africa and stayed at many places, but when we first discovered St Lucia it immediately became our destination of choice for all our holidays! We try to go in August of each year as the shad season is still open and the weather is fabulous!
St Lucia - Beautiful parks!
- Super nice town!
Nice little town - First time in St Lucia, has a wonderful holiday feel to it. Nice weather even in winter we swam everyday.
Unique African Experience - My 1st visit to this part of our country and I was overwhelmed by the beauty & nature that one encounters when staying in the town, from hippos walking down the main street, to Leopard being spotted in the suburbs. A real treat for anyone wanting to experience SA's natural beauty on the north east coast.
My first visit - Friendly and breath-taking! Incredible place to enjoy nature and the African bush. Walk-ways and boat access enable one to get a close-up and awesome experience of this unique place, so close to "civilisation".
Awesome - Best place to go on holiday, every place is closeby and you can enjoy every day
Beautiful place - Everything is literally 5 mins away. Beaches are lovely. Very serene place. Natural, unspoilt environment.
Fabulous - So much to do, needed more than one week. Love that nature is on your doorstep literally. Experienced hippo walking in the street. Value for money and so clean as well.
Awesome Holiday - Lovely and friendly place, we travelled from Swaziland to this amazing place with a great atmosphere, lovely & clean beaches. We will definitely return.
St Lucia, a hidden gem! - We had no idea what to expect of St Lucia. Travelling down from a very wet holiday in Cathedral Peak, we feared more of the same! The weather was warm and bright, just the job! Every way you turned, there was something to surprise you. The wild animals were superb and included Hippos, monkeys, wonderful birds, deer, water buffalo, zebras, warthogs etc etc.
Our trip to Cape Vidal was brilliant, even if the monkeys did steal our lunch!
An absolutely fantastic place!

Far too little time to see everything!
Unfortunately we only had three days in St Lucia, it is beautiful and there is so much to experience. The boat tour is highly recommendable: we saw many hippos and had a great guide. When touring we were very close to zebras and wildebeest.
Fantastic small town with lovely beaches and friendly folks - There is so much to do or just relax and enjoy the views
Small town - Warm and friendly people.
Too commercial - Try somewhere else - mainly for staying. It is not worth staying in this place. Visiting is enough! You can stay somewhere else for instance at the Cheese Farm or Mtatubatuba. If it is possible stay at a different place. The enviroment is OK but the hotels are bad! Croc Centre and Cape Vidal are OK.

Nice - Very nice and lots of entertainment.
Cape vidal - Best beach in SA!
First time in St Lucia - Great place, first time there. Just a pity of the very loud music and mess at the parking lot to the beach. The rest of the town and facilities are awesome. We will be back many times.
Great place! - We had an amazing time. The was only one flaw - the parties at the beach and people leaving empty bottles and a mess.
Awesome - Nice place. It's welcoming and quiet. Good for resting and a holiday.
St Lucia - Very nice and so was the accommodation next door to The Bridge.
Great! - Lovely place. Nice restaurants and shops. A quiet busy place with a lot of things to do in a beautiful area.
Paradise! - St Lucia is a lovely little town with lots of activities and tours to enjoy. You have the best of both - Bush and Beach. The Park was proclaimed a World Heritage Site because of the rich biodiversity, unique ecosystems and natural beauty occurring in a relatively small area. The reason for the huge diversity in fauna and flora is the great variety of different ecosystems ranging from coral reefs and sandy beaches to subtropical dune forests, savannas, and wetlands. Animals you may see include elephants, leopard, black and white rhino, buffalo, and in the ocean, whales, dolphins, and marine turtles including the leatherback and loggerhead turtles.

St Lucia - Overall St Lucia is the ideal place to go when you want to just get away from it all and have a break. We loved it there, the people are so friendly and welcoming and just gives such a warm pleasant feeling overall.
St Lucia will definitely be seeing us again. We had many good experiences and we all had fun.
We find St Lucia absolutely amazing!
A must to visit - A place to visit in St Lucia is the Fisherman's Restaurant, Pub and take away. The food is the best! It might not look like much from the outside, but once you're in, the atmosphere, people and food will forever fill your heart with a longing to return for more. This is a truly warm South African place to visit, where tourist can see how the true South Africans get together to watch our favourite sports, drink our favourite drinks and eat the best seafood on the planet.
Great basecamp - St Lucia is a not very commercial little town with a one-main street busy street (i.e. a strip with gas pump, supermarket, restaurants, stores) and a small grit of lanes and avenues. Hippo's may stroll the streets at night. Don't panic.

Awesome - St Lucia is an awesome place to be, lots to do as well as a relaxful destination if you don't want to do anything but soak up the sun.
Night Drive - Een night drive met de eigenaar van de Hornbill House. Geweldige ervaring.
Paradise - St Lucia is just beautiful a real paradise with so much to do in and around the area. The people are so friendly and helpful. There is just too many superlatives to describe this place, so just book up and go see for yourself
