More than a daring travel adventure, Africa Trek is a heart warming story of a cultural exploration of the continent. Africa Trek is the amazing journey of Alex and Sonia Poussin, a French couple who walked from the Cape of Good Hope to the Sea of Galilee. Their three-year trek followed the Great Rift Valley of East Africa, retracing the trail of early humans from Austrolopithecus to Modern Man.

Day by day they became more African, meeting and staying with locals along their way. During their journey, which they personally filmed, they endured fatigue, extreme thirst, blazing sun, man-eating lions, prowling hyenas, malaria and more. But what they discovered along the way was an incredibly generous place rich with heart, humour and life. The Poussins experienced part of the world few of us have ever seen, where time and culture is so different from our own.

Sonia and Alexandre will introduce their book “Africa Trek, in the Footsteps of Mankind” and be available for signing afterwards. Come and meet this exceptional couple and take part in this fascinating trip!

Need to know? Friday 6th november at 5.30pm at the Ron Belling Gallery. RSVP : email fogartys@global.co.za or phone 041 368 1425.
