Stepping into South Luangwa National Park is like stepping into a bygone age where wildlife is still abundant and the air sings with birds instead of the sound of civilization. Remote, secluded, scenic, and full of life, there are few other parks that can hold a candle to SLNP.. The Nsefu sector is my favorite because it is less populated by man. Going on a bush walk or driving on a game drive you seldom see any other people and nature abounds. Herds of elephants, packs of wild dogs, prides of lions, and hundreds of species of birds. That is South Luangwa. Victory Wallace Zikomo Safari

This reserve is the gem of the southern African reserves. It's known for its great number of leopards. Surrounded by some lovely campsites just outside the park, you can find yourself camping adjacent to the park and observe the elephants crossing the river to the greener pastures on the other side!
