Rhino Post Camp is a 16-bed lodge, set on the banks of the Mutlumuvi Riverbed, in a 12,000 ha private wilderness concession in the Kruger National Park. This unique wilderness area offers ecotourists the ideal place for encounters with the Big Five and allows visitors to track elephant and rhino on foot or view them from the comfort of open safari vehicles.

The nature of a wilderness area is that there are no permanent structures, so Rhino Post Camp was built using natural materials of stone, wood, thatch and canvas to create an authentic bush ambience. Each luxury suite is exquisitely decorated and includes bedroom and lounge with impressive views of the riverbed from the bathroom, outdoor shower and decked patio.

Following a walking safari or game drive, guests can relax in the revitalising swimming pool, take in the views from the shaded patio and watch the abundant wildlife amble down to the waterhole. Sumptuous meals are served in the camp’s dining area, which is set under magnificent Tamboti trees. The lounge, with its extensive wine cellar, cosy fireplace and bar, is the perfect spot for a sundowner. For something special, spoil yourself with a little pampering in the rejuvenation centre.

In the spirit of wilderness areas worldwide, Rhino Post Camp has been specially designed and built to have minimal impact on the environment. Few permanent structures were used in the construction of this magnificent camp. Low energy lighting, solar assisted power production, natural materials, raised walkways and bedrooms are but some of the low impact measures we have taken.

Rhino Walking Safari:

Rhino Walking Safaris lets you discover nature’s hidden wonders in specially tailored walking trails through a 12,000 ha private wilderness concession in the Kruger National Park. “Likweti” is the SiSwati word for “morning star”, which symbolises new beginnings. The property includes a four-star lodge and an estate that is in the first phase of development. So whether you are looking for a brief getaway or a long-term escape from city life, we have the perfect retreat for you.

This 2 000-hectare unique Lowveld paradise is located a mere 10 minutes’ drive from the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA), just 11 minutes from White River and only 20 minutes from Nelspruit. Our two Luxury Suites – built at either end of the lodge – ensure absolute privacy and indulgence. The views from the heated plunge pools and outdoor showers simply go on forever! The open plan bathroom with its indoor jet stream shower makes it difficult to decide between showering or relaxing in the over-sized oval shaped tub – both large enough for two!
