Goodwood Steakhouse restaurant
Ashley's is a unique owner-run restaurant that specializes in optimizing and perfecting the family dining experience. The first thing you see when you walk in is a big smile from either the owner or one of the staff members. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and, as the name suggests, you immediately feel like you're with family.
Ashley's offers a wide variety of dishes including delicious seafood, steaks, burgers, pasta, pizzas, ribs and chicken. A special carvery is served on Wednesdays from 6 pm to and on Sundays from 11.30 am to 3.30 pm. Ashley calls this "mamma se kos", translated "mom's food". Look out for daily specials and excellent deals.
The restaurant is child friendly with its own kiddies birthday club and a kiddies menu which is also available for the not-so-hungry adults. There is a children's play area, a baby changing station and baby chairs for the younger ones.

Hermanus Steakhouse restaurant
With a motto like “Life’s too short for bad food.” B’s Steak House in the seaside town of Hermanus certainly lives up to its claim. B’s has won and been runners up for the Steak House of the Year Award (1999, 2000 and 2001). So, what to expect? Steak prepared to perfection.
The relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant has a ‘Sante Fe’ feel with its orange and blue colour scheme which is enhanced by the solid wooden furnishings and airy double volume ceiling. Cattle Baron is a true South African institution and does not fail to deliver on quality, quantity and affordability.
This steak ranch serves up traditional favourites with the emphasis on steak, steak and steak. The menu offers a wide variety of meats, served with rice, baked potato or chips and the famous complimentary creamed spinach and sweet butternut. A must-try is the melt-in-your-mouth Chateaubriand - thinly sliced fillet flambed at your table served with sauce bèarnaise. Velddrif Seafood restaurant
Die Vishuis Restaurant is situated on the bank of the Berg River, in the West Coast town of Velddrif. This restaurant was once a real 'vishuis' where the fisherman used to salt the harders in big tanks. What remains of those days are the sea shells in the original sand walls, portions of which have been uncovered.
This quirky little national monument has been kept appealingly genuine, complete with open beams and a long stoep where you can eat seafood as well as other scrumptious dishes and enjoy the flamingos, pelicans and herons because this is a major wetland area.
A restaurant called Die Vishuis must of course have a scrumptious fish and seafood menu but this is not all that is served, Herman who has 31 years experience in the hospitality trade has put his wide experience to good use, creating seasonal and interesting West Coast dishes.
