Edgemead Steakhouse restaurant
Ashley's is a unique owner-run restaurant that specializes in optimizing and perfecting the family dining experience. The first thing you see when you walk in is a big smile from either the owner or one of the staff members. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and, as the name suggests, you immediately feel like you're with family.
Ashley's offers a wide variety of dishes including delicious seafood, steaks, burgers, pasta, pizzas, ribs and chicken. A special carvery is served on Wednesdays from 6 pm to and on Sundays from 11.30 am to 3.30 pm. Ashley calls this "mamma se kos", translated "mom's food". Look out for daily specials and excellent deals.
The restaurant is child friendly with its own kiddies birthday club and a kiddies menu which is also available for the not-so-hungry adults. There is a children's play area, a baby changing station and high chairs for toddlers.
The restaurant also caters for functions with a range of menus to choose from. Unpretentious, warm and back to your roots is what you'll experience at Ashley's.
Hermanus Steakhouse restaurant
With a motto like “Life’s too short for bad food.” B’s Steak House in the seaside town of Hermanus certainly lives up to its claim. B’s has won and been runners up for the Steak House of the Year Award (1999, 2000 and 2001). So, what to expect? Steak prepared to perfection.
The relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant has a ‘Sante Fe’ feel with its orange and blue colour scheme which is enhanced by the solid wooden furnishings and airy double volume ceiling. The loft area creates a relaxed post pudding space for guests to linger a little longer and indulge in a good brandy and a Cuban cigar.
And then there’s the steak. With a descriptive chart to guide on preference of preparation, one can be guaranteed that B’s will go to great lengths provide its patrons with steak as they like it. Firm menu favourites include the Chateaubriand and Carpetbagger.
Not only does B’s offer the very best steaks, but as an essential compliment to any steak meal, its wine list is also award winning (Diners Club award).
Visitors also do not have to go home empty handed. Meat products such as steak, wors and biltong as well as a range of sauces can now be purchased from the restaurant’s new butchery counter.
Woodmead Grills restaurant
Meat meat and meat is what Butcher Block is all about. Only triple A cut beef is served and perfectly prepared to diners tastes. Fish, chicken and vegetarian options are also offered. Starters like the three-sauce calamari and the potato skins with bacon, peppers, cheddar, mushrooms and onions are indulgences that are must-tries.
Century City Seafood restaurant
Cape Town Fish Market is definitely part of the South African vocabulary by now and this family friendly franchise continues to serve up hearty dishes at reasonable prices.
Diners can enjoy great seafood, and a wide variety of it, cooked to their preference. Amazing sushi options are also available and the restaurant even offers take away sushi platters to enjoy at home.
Try the stacked Dorado with prawns, spinach, feta, sun-dried tomatoes and olive tapenade or the simpler, but equally tasty crayfish with lemon butter. For the non fish eater there are options like tender sirloin steak and delicious lamb cutlets. Top this off with a bottle of your favourite wine and a melt-in-your-mouth sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and you are sure to leave satisfied.

Century City Steakhouse restaurant
Cattle Baron is a true South African institution and does not fail to deliver on quality, quantity and affordability.
This steak ranch serves up traditional favourites with the emphasis on steak, steak and steak. The menu offers a wide variety of meats, served with rice, baked potato or chips and the famous complimentary creamed spinach and sweet butternut. A must-try is the melt-in-your-mouth Chateaubriand - thinly sliced fillet flambed at your table served with sauce bèarnaise. For the really ravenous diner, there is the 600 g Fat Tuesday rump or sirloin and the famous Carpet Bag filled with hickory smoked mussels and cheese.
Vegetarian pastas and a vegetarian platter are also available to non meat eating guests, and on top of this, Cattle Baron offers a really cool kids menu filled with great dishes and awesome dessert options.

Velddrif Seafood restaurant
Die Vishuis Restaurant is situated on the bank of the Berg River, in the West Coast town of Velddrif. This restaurant was once a real 'vishuis' where the fisherman used to salt the harders in big tanks. What remains of those days are the sea shells in the original sand walls, portions of which have been uncovered.
This quirky little national monument has been kept appealingly genuine, complete with open beams and a long stoep where you can eat seafood as well as other scrumptious dishes and enjoy the flamingos, pelicans and herons because this is a major wetland area.
A restaurant called Die Vishuis must of course have a scrumptious fish and seafood menu but this is not all that is served, Herman who has 31 years experience in the hospitality trade has put his wide experience to good use, creating seasonal and interesting West Coast dishes.
You will be made welcome as you arrive at the door. After being shown to your table your friendly waiter will help you select your meal from the menu and if needed will call Herman for any further assistance if required.
Being a small intimate restaurant we are able to create personal service for your enjoyment and relaxation throughout your meal. Guests are welcome to bring own Wine and Beer along - no corkage charged, as we are not licensed yet.

Somerset West Steakhouse restaurant
This beautifully decorated restaurant is offers diners a relaxed ambience, great service and delicious food. The restaurant has definitely earned its good reputation and is famous for their delicious, succulent steaks, all perfectly prepared to your taste and preference.
Only the best cuts of meat are used and this you can tell the minute your plate arrives. But lets start at the beginning, the starter menu. Wonderful options are available and include the Asian Trio which comprises crispy pork belly in a pineapple chilli sauce, vegetable spring rolls and a tempura prawn.
