Alchemy Waschbank River Restaurant is the most spectacular spot on the breathtaking banks of the Orange River. One is instantly captivated by the sweet angelic melody of the ever-flowing waters. We pride ourselves on offering scrumptious, traditional and mouth-watering food without hurting one’s wallet. Currently the restaurant can accommodate 35 guests inside and 35 guests outside on the deck, but we also do cater for larger groups or functions. We invite you to come and unwind at the most enchanted spot the Orange River has to offer - our delightful little deck. Here sunsets become a serene and magical experience. Mouth-watering Karoo cuisine driven by the acclaimed Chef Cris Greff - there is simply not a more compelling spot for dining!

The menu offers a large variety of dishes, mainly sushi and seafood. Try the baby Kingklip if available. The calamari and the mussels are also perfectly prepared and well worth the price. The sushi options are amazing, and it ranges from the traditional to the more 'out there' kind. Maki, nigiri, fashion sandwiches, salmon roses and even the customized dragon rolls are all up to standard - even above. The service is quick and personalized and you can watch your chef prepare most of your dishes while you wait. The restaurant is child friendly and wheelchair accessible. Blue Waters is open for lunch and dinner from 12 pm until 10 pm seven days a week and is fully licensed.

This place is often visited by our local rugby heroes as it is situated right by the Newlands Rugby Stadium. Breakfast and lunch are served and the dishes are unpretentious, but hearty and satisfying. An extensive pizza menu is available and the tramezzini's with various fillings are definitely recommended. Panini's and regular toasties are also available. Salads, light meals, wraps and yummy pasta's complete the menu. The restaurant is fully licensed and offers quite a few brews on tap. This is a fun, laid-back experience not to be missed.
