Velddrif Seafood restaurant
Die Vishuis Restaurant is situated on the bank of the Berg River, in the West Coast town of Velddrif. This restaurant was once a real 'vishuis' where the fisherman used to salt the harders in big tanks. What remains of those days are the sea shells in the original sand walls, portions of which have been uncovered.
This quirky little national monument has been kept appealingly genuine, complete with open beams and a long stoep where you can eat seafood as well as other scrumptious dishes and enjoy the flamingos, pelicans and herons because this is a major wetland area.
A restaurant called Die Vishuis must of course have a scrumptious fish and seafood menu but this is not all that is served, Herman who has 31 years experience in the hospitality trade has put his wide experience to good use, creating seasonal and interesting West Coast dishes.
You will be made welcome as you arrive at the door. After being shown to your table your friendly waiter will help you select your meal from the menu and if needed will call Herman for any further assistance if required.
Being a small intimate restaurant we are able to create personal service for your enjoyment and relaxation throughout your meal. Guests are welcome to bring own Wine and Beer along - no corkage charged, as we are not licensed yet.

Top this all off with a killer cocktail like a fuzzy navel or a cuba libre and your experience will be complete.
Port Elizabeth Seafood restaurant
John Dory's specialises in seafood, offering a wide variety of fish, shellfish, calamari, and sushi, as well as a variety of meat, poultry and vegetarian dishes. The atmosphere is family friendly and the portions are generous and affordable.
The restaurant has a main menu, a kids' menu, and a wine menu. Great seafood platters are available for the ravenous guest or for parties to share. Diners can also make up their own party platters with sushi, sandwiches, maki, nigiri and California rolls. A creative sushi train is available on the children's menu.

Paternoster Seafood restaurant
Clean, breezy décor and a touch of elegance permeates this little West Coast gem and sits in juxtaposition with the breathtaking surroundings. The ocean is right in front of you and the fresh, crisp sea air and smell fill your senses as you enjoy a laid-back glass of wine. The menu offers mainly seafood and traditional South African cuisine. Try the gorgeous, fall-off-the-bone lamb shank, or an old patriotic favourite, 'melkkos' (milk food), prepared with cinnamon, flour and milk. Some seafood options include fluffy, perfectly cooked hake, deep-fried-as-they-should-be calamari rings, prawns and the rare but wonderful delicacy, crayfish.
Hermanus Seafood restaurant
Quayside Cabin is not your average restaurant. This fresh seafood eatery is a transformed shipping container with an array of eclectic items placed all over. Quayside Cabin has the most envied location in Hermanus, with prime positioning in the new harbour overlooking the activities of the harbour and ocean.
This is a causal and charming space where the service is friendly and banter is encouraged. Apart from the pleasant service, this is most certainly the best place to experience fresh fish and catch from the harbour straight into the pan. With the limited space available, it amazes one how effortlessly this type of quality of food is presented each time.
Come rain or shine, Quayside Cabin is open. Summer days are spent enjoying the sea breeze and in winter the blinds are lowered and heaters strategically positioned for a cosy meal.
Seafood is what’s on the menu so don’t head to the harbour if you are looking for a rare steak. Split a platter to taste all the starters, choose one of the hot pots, or pick the best fresh-off-the-boat fish dish. Kiddies have a small selection of meals to cater for the whole family.
Lunch: 12 noon - 4:00 pm, Monday to Sunday;
Dinner: 7:00 pm - close, Monday to Sunday.
Knysna Tapas restaurant
Tapas & Oysters is the place where great food, good friends and sticky fingers meet. It’s all about Knysna’s laid-back lifestyle, that’s why we like to say that 34 Tapas & Oysters is “Not too shabby... Not too chic... definitely dockside.”
Join us every day of the year in our bright and cheerful restaurant with its beautiful views over the Knysna Lagoon for oysters (the whole range, of course, fresh from our own holding tanks), tapas (with a South African twist, naturally), cocktails (including the coolest mojitos around), or a glass of Knysna’s famous Mitchell’s beer, which like 34 itself, is a celebration of the way we like to live down here beside the lagoon.
