Goodwood Asian restaurant
Experience authentic Eastern flavours in this bustling and vibey restaurant.
The interior is beautifully decorated with luxuriously soft, comfortable seats and quaint little cruet sets all over. The lighting is soft and creates an atmosphere conducive to kicking back and relaxing.
This traditional Asian eatery offers a wide variety of items on its menu. The house speciality is the lamb - slow-cooked fall-off-the-bone meat that melts in your mouth and is served on a cast-iron plate that brings out a real sizzle. Other recommended dishes are the sweet and sour chicken and the crispy duck, both beautifully prepared and infused with authentic flavours. Throw in a side of vegetable noodles and you've got a meal fit for a king. For vegetarians there are various alternatives, including the amazing bean tofu - a must-try.
Beijing Orchard is fully licensed and diners can enjoy a good bottle of wine at a reasonable price. All in all, the flavours of the East blend beautifully here.
Durbanville Asian restaurant
Jade Court is already 'part of the restaurant furniture' in the Tyger Valley area and there is a reason for this. They constantly deliver great Chinese cuisine, excellent service and reasonable prices.
Here you can relax in the inside or outside dining areas and take in the simple, oriental-style décor.
The menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. Try the delectable steamed pork dumplings, or the traditional and tasty spring rolls. Deep-fried chicken wings and sweet corn clusters make for good starters or sides.
The traditional fare is definitely worth a try, like the Shanghai steak and the beef chop suey. The Mandarin-style steak is also fantastic.
A giant sushi menu is available and platters can be organized. Regular events, like the sushi making courses, are arranged and is worth enquiring about.
Tried and tested, this restaurant won't go anywhere soon.
Century City Asian restaurant
Taiwan City is the ideal place to have great Asian food in a trendy but relaxed setting. The ambience is cheerful, and so is the interior.
Taiwan City offers buffet-style eating as well as alfresco dining. Here you will enjoy delicious seafood, traditional Chinese dishes, awesome sushi combinations and much more. Try the vegetable spring rolls served with a sweet chilli and garlic sauce and the traditional favourite, sweet and sour chicken or pork. Their pan-fried pork dumplings are a must and with desserts like chocolate spring rolls and ice cream you simply can't go wrong.
The quality of the food is top notch and the prices extremely reasonable. The restaurant is also family friendly and provides a great venue for private functions. Taiwan City is open seven days a week from 11am until 10pm.
