Description
The month of September is a time of great spiritual
significance for our Muslim community. The
Holy Month of Ramadan
begins on the 1st of September, with observers of the faith fasting each
day between sunrise and sunset.
One of the reasons that Muslims fast is so that they can empathize with disadvantaged and poverty stricken communities. During Ramadan South African Muslims give generously, both materially and spiritually.
Fasting ends on the 1st of October and is celebrated with the festive occasion known as Eid-ul-Fitr. The SafariNow.com team extend our best wishes to all Muslims during
this time of
contemplation.
