Durban’s popular club for ocean lovers couldn’t be better situated - right on Durban’s Beachfront at Vetch's Pier, between Ushaka Marine World and the northern harbour breakwater.
The Durban Undersea Club (DUC) is a family orientated, social activities club for people that are passionate about the ocean and beaches. The club offers numerous activities like scuba diving, spearfishing, underwater hockey, underwater photography, boating and surf skiing.
DUC has a fully equipped dive locker with a 450lt/min air and nitrox compressor and 12 sets of Scuba equipment, a washing up area with rinse baths and showers for dive kit and boats. There’s also a bar and kitchen facilities, ablutions, dining area, function facilities, safe parking with controlled access and easy foot access to the beach from the sun tanning lawn area.
The beach in front of the clubhouse is protected from large waves and currents by the Vetch's pier breakwater, a 500m long submerged reef which, along with adjacent limestone reef, is home to hundreds of species of marine life and is a great snorkel and or shallow Scuba dive (max 6m depth). The calm waters and protection from the Bluff makes the DUC beach one of the safest and best for beachgoers with children.

Situated on the banks of the Fish River, Inxuba Yethemba Municipal Park is an oasis of trees and flowers - a perfect spot to chill out in uncomfortably hot weather. The Park is a mixture of timelessness and modernity: beautiful gardens, shady trees, the Cradock Four Memorial, the Jurie Lombard Water Mill, plus a sports complex that could well be the envy of many a larger town.
The sports complex features a swimming pool, tennis courts, a rugby field encircled by a superb synthetic athletic track which hosts events at regional and national level, a pavilion seating 2 000 and a caravan park with full facilities. The annual Hansa Powerade Great Fish River Canoe Marathon ends at the Park.

Milnerton Aquatic Club (MAC) is situated on the banks of the Rietvlei Nature Reserve with sweeping views of Table Mountain. The Rietvlei Nature Reserve is a haven for bird life and has a walking trail for people to enjoy the tranquillity of the outdoors.
Because of the location, ideal wind and water conditions, MAC has become a very popular destination for overseas water sports enthusiasts who spend between 3 to 6 months of the year here.
MAC has a membership of around 600 with three divisions, namely power, sailing and board sailing. A recent addition to the sailing section has been that of the Cape Radio Yacht Club and its members with their model remote controlled sailing boats who enjoy the perfect water conditions that MAC has to offer.
Club members can enjoy the facilities of the club's galley and the "Wet Start" Bar which offers stunning views of the water and Table Mountain.
When the sun goes down, members often enjoy the sunset while a braai and sundowners after a day on the water. MAC also has a large swimming pool, a toddler's pool, a small play park for its members.
Whatever you choose to do, or not to do at MAC you can enjoy a fun filled carefree day exactly as you wish, whether it is on or off the water.

Apart from Golf, the Club also offers a wide variety of sport such as Bowls, Netball, Tennis, Ghymkana and Cricket. The club hosts annual events such as the Darling Wild Flower Show, Nissan Rally, WP Ghymkana Championships and Boland Bowls Championships. It is also a popular venue for weddings, conferences and other social functions.
This cute 9-hole Golf course is only 75km away from Cape Town. It is especially popular with residents from Melkbos and Bloubergstrand. It is 5877m long and the greens have cynoden grass. The course has been open for the past 20 years, but with the recently built dam and new irrigation system, has grown into an attractive and well-maintained golf course. Bar facilities and light meals are available. With the excellent catering facilities available on site, it is the perfect venue for corporate and social golfing events.
