Skeleton Coast Accommodation

Each of the 12 en-suite rock chalets are built from the local rocks that occur around Grootberg. The bedrooms have either twin or double beds and en-suite bathrooms with showers and separate toilets.

Epupa Camp consists of nine luxury Safari-style Tents erected on stone platforms, each with two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. All of the tents have electricity and mosquito netting and an outside, shaded balcony overlooking the tranquil Kunene River.

Kunene River Lodge began life as an impromptu rest camp on the long, arduous 4x4 trail from Epupa to Ruacana. White-water rafting activities contribute significantly to the success it now enjoys as one of the most desirable tourist destinations in this remote corner of Namibia.

Opuwo is the gateway to the Kaokoveld region in the northwestern part of Namibia. The remote area south of the Kunene river is the home of the Himba people, who have kept their ethnic individuality and culture in the seclusion of Kaokoland.

Okahirongo River Camp is an eco-friendly tented camp built on a sweeping ridge, with breathtaking views of the Kunene River. The central area, constructed above the rapids, comprises two lounges, a library and dining room decked out in African elegance.

Mopane Camp is situated approximately 5 km from Opuwo, to the east of the C41 - the road which leads to Kamanjab. The camp is built on the high, steep banks of a dry river and built in the shade of large mopane trees.
