Description
Does Jozi give a haggis when it comes to Scotch? Raise your glass to the sixth annual FNB Whisky Live Festival - a most pleasurable event which has been labelled biggest and best whisky festival in the world.
The SA premium whisky market has shown incredible growth with South Africa now the 6th in the world by volume. This year's show has a palate-teasing offering of over 180 whiskies and includes at least four new product launches which will be available for sampling for the first time. Once again the FNB Whisky Live Festival will comprise two main parts: THE TASTING HALL and the WHISKY WORKHOPS.
The Tasting Hall
Grab your tasting glass, tasting vouchers and a whisky handbook and set off on your whisky journey, savouring whiskies from Scotland, America, Ireland, and South Africa. Meet the whisky master distillers at the various stands and understand their passion for this remarkable drink. New innovations in the Tasting Hall this year include the Back to Basics Zone – an interactive display of “what makes whisky “whisky”.
Whisky Workshops
Mouth-watering workshops for both the greenhorns and the pros! The workshops are hosted by master distillers and global ambassadors and run concurrently to the Tasting Hall in a separate meeting room. They last approximately one hour and you will get to taste a range of approximately 6 or 7 different whiskies.
