What's going on? - This is such a beautiful village. The young woman at the visitor's centre is about the best thing about our experience there.Kind and helpful, she does not have much to work with at this time. The hotel is defunct, the "restaurant" informed us the cake had not arrived, nor the milk.
We drove around for a bit looking for lunch, tea, coffee, anything - no luck.Went on to the Ski Resort.
Beautiful but hard driving on sand roads to get there - Pretty village but lacking in a few more facilities for visitors.
Beautiful - Of the towns in the area, I would choose Rhodes. Beautiful, and well situated to explore surrounding areas. Do take all your supplies.
Rhodes - Ideal centre for touring the numerous beautiful surrounding passes.
Rhodes holiday/weekend destination - Rhodes is indeed a lovely quaint village and although some distance from any large towns, well worth visiting and supporting. If you enjoy the tranquillity and peace of vast stretches of open land and being surrounded by mountains, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, shopping malls and the accompanying noise this is the place to go. Even with children there is enough opportunity for long walks, bicycle rides and, best of all, snuggling up in front of a fireplace in the evening.
Rhodes - Lovely quaint village.
Great nature - Peaceful suuroundings, nature at its best.
