Very peaceful and quiet, everything is so close. Only the roads need attention.

This beautiful part of the South Coast takes you away from the crowds and gives you the space to relax and enjoy Mother Nature at her best. We like the clean beaches, well maintained roads and proximity to major shopping hubs and tourist venues. This is where we have come for the past 12 years to de-stress and recharge. It is also close to activities for the family with horse riding, golf and other options.

No commercialization,no traffic jams,no maddening crowds and yet lovely restaurants with sea views and all the shops you need 10 mins away.

Ramsgate is a wonderful place for a short or longer term getaway. The blue flag beach and lagoon are amazing. There is a laid back feel about the village which we enjoyed tremendously. There are quite a few restaurants within close proximity to the beach. The whale viewing deck and walks along the beach are a must for all visitors. Highly reccommended.

It is always the most memorable break away for us as a family. The people are friendly; accommodation is superb and so much to do. We love the tranquillity and scenery of the South Coast and will always recommend this to your friends and family.

Ramsgate is situated in the centre of the south coast.. its a great area to stay because just minutes to Port Edward and Shelley beach. We enjoy our stay in Ramsgate will definitely book there again. Vanie Iyer

Ramsgate south is a very nice place. the beach scenery is the best. i can go there every year to relax. i really enjoyed my stay. i would recommend this place to anyone who needs to relax and have a chilled time. my brother has even relocated to Ramsgate south.

Ramsgate is a premium coastal destination. The blue flag is wonderful. The area is extremely scenic and long, safe walks are possible in the general area during the day. There are a number of restaurants in the area. Ramsgate is ideal if you prefer a slightly quieter seaside break. Bustling Margate is just a few km away.

Ramsgate is a quaint seaside village on the South Coast of KwaZulu Natal, situated about four kilometres south of Margate. The beach carries the blue flag certificate – it is clean, safe with 7 x day a week lifeguards. Ramsgate is located on the mouth of a river known by the Zulu name Bilanhlolo ("the marvellous boiler") for the bubbles caused by strong currents making it look like the water is boiling. Wonderful Seaside village. Good safe swimming beaches. Excellent restaurants, friendly bars, and good walking trails. Whale lookout. Close to bustling Margate. Half hour from Oribi Gorge; one of the worlds largest gorges. Close to at least 5 premier golf courses. Half hour from the Wild Coast Casino. What more can one ask from a beach village?

Its a very boring, non-holiday going place. There is nothing to do and is far away from anything.

Beautiful little village for the older generation. Not much for younger people which suits me fine. Great variety of self-catering accommodation though some of it is very overpriced. Excellent restaurants and breakfast venues.

It was our first visit to Ramsgate and we were pleasantly surprised. A lovely destination for a relaxing holiday.

Situated ideally to travel towards Margate and further south and also Shelly Beach and further north. Necessary facilities are available in this lovely, peaceful town.
