What’s hip, hot and happening in Tshwane town?
Party hard at the grande finale of a new wave of kick ass parties with a twist that have been lighting up the club scene in Gauteng. They’re called the Shout OUT parties, an initiative by OUT, the non-profit services organisation focusing on Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) people.
Starting in April and ending November 2008, a series of eight Shout OUT parties kicked off at the womyn only club, Playground on 26 April, and will end on 29 November with a massive final Shout OUT World Aids Day Party at Legends club in Pretoria in celebration of World Aids Day.
The other participating clubs are also well-known and respected LGBT clubs throughout Gauteng. You might still be able to catch the Shout OUT @ Pride Soweto After Party in September, a Shout OUT presence @ Joburg Pride in October and of course this big celebration of World Aids Day @ Legends on 29 November.
The Shout OUT Parties team have collaborated with already well-established LGBT clubs and events by adding the Shout OUT twist: The aim is for the partygoer to get their hands on the very valuable Shout OUT wristband available only at Shout OUT parties.
This wristband is worth its weight in gold as it gives the partygoer free entry into the Shout OUT World Aids Day Party @ Legends on 29.11.08 plus the opportunity to stand in line to win thousands of Rands worth of prizes at Legends on the night. The twist is that there is only one way to get this wristband and that is to get a HIV test by the OUT team at any of the Shout OUT parties.
OUT's is dedicated to building healthy, empowered lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender communities in Tshwane, Gauteng and South Africa. Find out more at www.shoutoutparties.co.za or www.out.org.za.
