The busy mercantile capital of Port Louis is a vibrant fusion of Indian, African, Chinese, Arabian and European influences, particularly evident in the central market, colonial buildings, mosques, churches and temples. Most visitors head to Le Caudan Waterfront, a duty free shopping nirvana in the harbour but don’t miss seeing the dodo skeleton at the Natural History Museum.
