Put your mettle to the pedal on the scenic Sunshine Coast
Get on your bike for South Africa's second oldest national classic, the coastal Herald VW Cycle Tour. The 105 km race is a qualifying and seeding event for the Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Cycle Tour 2013, the Pick ‘n Pay 94.7 Cycle Challenge 2012 and other national cycling events. With a R100 000 prize purse, it is the Eastern Cape's richest race.
The race starts and finishes at Hobie Beach Race Village on Marine Drive opposite Hobie Beach parking area. Competitors have the option of cycling 105 km, 80 km or 40 km routes. The weekend festival of cycling promotes a healthy lifestyle for the whole family. In addition to the road race, a mountain biking event will take place in Addo.
