So your name is not Sabrina? You don't like to be challenged? You don't love the ocean? No excuses. Land lubbers can enter 10km runs and 5km walks. And surely you have a heart for children with disabilities? Not just because it's Christmas! Pack your gear. You have nothing to fear!
Now in its seventh year, the Sabrina Love Ocean Challenge has established itself as a "must do" event on the ocean swimming and surf ski calendars respectively. Last year the event attracted almost 500 participants. Olympic swimmer Natalie du Toit and Comrades legend Bruce Fordyce and will also be joining in the proceedings as celebs.
Need to know? The event takes place on 28 December 2008 in Plettenberg Bay and is organized by Magnetic South. Event categories range from a 6km swim, 10km run, 20km kayak paddle and 3km walk. The Beach Fun Walk is for those who want to join in the spirit of the race but without the competitive element! 100% of entry fees go towards the Sabrina Love Foundation.
