Phalaborwa gate staff is very efficient, friendly and helpful. Booked a night drive which was done very professionally and very knowledgeable by our guide (Janet). The camp at Letaba is not very nice and the service in the restaurant was appalling, Mopani on the other hand was beautiful and service was excellent. Will definitely return again.

Phalaborwa gate is up North so it attracts fewer visitors than in the South, enabling shorter queues and quick entry into the park. The Northern part of the park has lots to offer. We would definitely return.

Phalaborwa gate was a wonderful experience. Fast and efficient. The accommodation outside was also very nice and only 2 minutes from the gate, so we were able to enter the Park the moment the gate was opened,

Phalaborwa, the place of two summers. Staying in one of the Bed & Breakfast establishments and driving to the Kruger National Park is really easy. The gate is close to town (1km) with friendly staff, within minutes you are inside the Park and when you feel like an afternoon nap you could exit and still have enough time to go on a late afternoon drive back into the Park. No other town is closer to the Kruger Park than Phalaborwa.
