Description
Take your loved one by the hand at a romantic wine estate in Paarl
St Valentine declared February the month of love and as such romantics across the country will be looking for new and exciting ways to spoil their loved ones. Laborie Wine Farm regarded as one of the precious jewels in the Winelands, situated in the heart of Paarl, and surrounded by the majestic Drakenstein Mountains, offers the perfect setting to celebrate this much loved festivity.
To celebrate the month of love all ladies visiting the Laborie Lazy Days Market on Saturday, 11 February will receive a delicious glass of Laborie Méthode Cap Classique to sip and savour whilst leisurely browsing the stalls or simply relax and unwind on the immaculate and sprawling lawns.
The popular lifestyle market takes place every Saturday from 09:00 until 14:00, offering visitors an exciting and varied selection of lifestyle goods. These include freshly baked breads, coffee, cheese, olives, honey, charcuterie and other exciting fresh local produce exhibitors. Although the primary focus is food, there promises to be something for everyone, from mouth watering food stalls to arts and craft stalls, as well as ample kiddies entertainment.
The market has been up and running for a year now, and as such Laborie has gained popularity as the ideal meeting place in Paarl. Known as the ‘neighbourhood farm in the centre of Paarl’, it is the perfect opportunity for family and friends to enjoy a Saturday morning in a scenic and relaxed setting.
Should you wish to spoil your loved one on the actual date then look no further than the recently launched Harvest At Laborie restaurant, headed up by highly acclaimed chef Matthew Gordon. A special menu, at R245 per person, has been conceptualised for Valentine’s Day on the 14th of February, which includes a modern day Prawn cocktail for starters, delicious grilled free range Karoo rump for mains and a choice of warm, soft chocolate tart or raspberry Parfait for dessert.
