Situated on the Main Road in Gansbaai, this cowboy-western themed bistro and pub is a good choice for the hungry. Walk onto the wooden deck, where you can watch the people and activities of the town, through authentic saloon doors and into the restaurant and bar.
The Gansbaai Saloon menu has your typical bistro and pub meals with burgers, steak, egg and chips, and other regulars like schnitzels and kiddies meals. The food may not be your 5 Star cuisine but it fills the gap and tastes good – even if it is your regular ol’ Joe.
Although this is a family friendly establishment, I wouldn’t recommend keeping the children out late at the saloon. Things liven up at night and the bar is especially busy.
