Sad - Not what it used to be like, a bit run down now!
Hidden gem - We'd never been to Nottingham road and yet were taken back by the natural beauty, the food and the shops we all delightful.
Sapore was exceptional.
Midweek break & wedding location - Great holiday destination if you looking for a relaxing holiday. Had meals at Sapore and Notties Hotel - both good.
Meandering Girls - We stayed at Little Milton which is in Rosetta, but had meals at Sapore and Nottingham Road Hotel. Sapore is always a treat, and I was very impressed with the menu and pricing at the Hotel. Cafe Bloom was good, and our stay was perfect due to the location and easy access to lots of meandering. The weather was cold and misty, which was perfect!
Shopping, shopping and more shopping - We enjoyed the shops and had good meals most nights. Sapour was not great: expensive, the waiter had attitude and although the food was tasty and we enjoyed it, it wasn't what we expected when we ordered. Loved Spiral Blue and The Ugly Duckling.
Great weekend destination - This is a great place for a weekend retreat, either couples or families. We enjoyed the Bierfassl restaurant very much (Eisbein recommended!), and the spa at Fordoun Hotel is heavenly. Great for shopping, eating and exploring the outdoors. Best place for coffee is Terbedore Coffee Roasters. A lot to do but great for just chilling too.
Blueberry Bliss - The Blueberry Hill bistro is not to be missed! Delicious lunch menu (we had the trout fillets and salad; and bunny chow which came in a little potjie pot!) and signature cheesecake, together with rolling views of the farm, made for an enjoyable Saturday afternoon. We will be back for more of your delicious cheesecake!
The Junction Bistro - Friday night "theme evenings" - Enjoyed the BEST curry last night at The Junction Bistro! Great taste - good value for money - great service - friendly atmosphere! I am sure to be back every Friday night for their weekly theme dinners. Bring the kids too, as it is a family restaurant.
Great people - The people of Nottingham Road are always warm and friendly. I've been to Notties Hotel a few times and there will always be a stranger offering to buy a drink for me and friends.
Soccer Mom's Delight - With all the niche little shops and restaurants with child friendly play areas, it seems a great place to take the family and kids.
Don't speed though, average speed prosecution lurks around every bend.
Very Intriguing - A quaint village on the Midland Meander route, close to many interesting spots. Ceramic factory, shoe factories, my personal favourite, Spiral Blue an enchanting spot. And magnificent scenery
The Legendary "Notties" - Nottingham Road is one of the most favourite visited areas of the Natal Midlands. There are so many fun and interesting things to do: anything from chocolate dipping to golf to pottery fun. Nottingham Road is unique in so many different ways, you actually can't miss out on it!

Picture perfect - The Nottingham Road area is absolutely stunning! We unfortunately had very little time there, travelled between Mooi River and Howick, exploring some of the area. Beautiful! Would love to go back and spend a couple of days.
A peaceful reality - A quaint village feel about it set in a lovely enviroment. Interesting shops and food stores and many good eating places. The Gowrie Golf Course is stunning to play and Boschoek nearby is equally good . A very enjoyable destination.

The little " Gems" in Natal Midlands - Nottingham road is a village and area that immediately conjures up images of friendly folk, relaxed atmospheres, warm log fires and beautiful scenery.
The establishments are all good with a clear strategy employed by all to offer the best they can in affordable , warm and comfortable accommodation.
I can honestly say that this village and B&B's are worth the visit and experience and you will return. Either to find a place to buy and live in or to own your own special piece of this wonderful Winter Wonderland...

Perfect Getaway - Absolute bliss from the very first minute. Great views, superb facilities, I am glad we spent 8 wonderful nights and cannot wait for my next visit. It is the best establishment we have stayed in on the meander. A gem of a place and super owners. Beverley and Stephen Barry.
Relaxing - Peaceful and relaxing.
Countryside - Beautiful countryside with plenty of places to see.
Great base from which to explore the Midlands - Really enjoyed our time in Nottingham Road.
Notties is tops - A truly unique little village where it feels a bit like England made us very nostalgic thinking of our Uk holidays. People were all helpful and friendly.
Bad road - The road was very bad, please improve it.

Beautiful - Nottingham Road is a very small town which in itself does not offer much. The meander route is beautiful and there are many places to visit. Terbadore coffee roasters and restaurant is definitely recommended.
