Zarafa Camp, located in the 320,000-acre Selinda Reserve is synonymous with exclusivity and perfection. Envisioned to be the perfect safari camp, it embodies authenticity, luxury and simplicity to create a camp that has been clearly considered, and thoughtfully planned to be as environmentally sensitive as possible.

Each of the camp’s four immense tented suites are raised up on wooden decking and shaded by a canopy of African ebony and Red ivory trees, each with uninterrupted views.

Zarafa means "the beloved one" or "the lovely one" in Arabic, and the Zarafa Camp lives up to the name, inspiring even the well-travelled, and renewing the spirit of all who visit.

There are few places in northern Botswana as dynamic as the Selinda Reserve, which is centred on the famous Selinda Spillway, which weaves its way east, linking the far reaches of the Okavango Delta in the south with the Linyanti water systems in the east.

The Selinda Reserve is upstream from the Savute Channel and Chobe, so it has all the advantages of both famous areas, but more so it has the tremendous advantage of exclusivity.

It is a truly spectacular and unique landscape.

Oddballs’ Enclave is a small, secluded area of the Okavango’s most famous destination. It is set on the same beautiful island and with spectacular views over the floodplains and old-growth forest of the island fringe.

There are five elevated ‘mini-meru’ walk-in tents, each with an en-suite bathroom and single or king-size beds and fine linen. The enclave is the perfect venue for small groups, families and those seeking an intimate atmosphere in which to relax in one of the world’s most beautiful settings.

Totally solar-powered, the enclave has made no concessions to those who would insulate themselves from the environment ; while the tents are thoroughly netted to deny ingress to mosquitoes and insects, the bathrooms are al fresco and feature our very own design of the traditional African bucket shower – hot, generous and on-demand. Likewise, the deck and dining areas are elevated and open to command sweeping views.

The activities at the enclave are identical to those at Oddballs’ itself; a maximum of two guests per guide, the freedom to do what you please, free of the demands and constraints of other guests, genuine hand-made dug-out canoes, unarmed walking on Chief’s Island and the Moremi Game Reserve, and the opportunity to visit your guide’s village, totally uncontrived and brimming with character.

In the heart of Botswana's Chobe National Park lies a dynamic wilderness, a sweeping expanse of savannah brooded over by seven rocky outcrops that guard a relic marsh and the dry channel that was once its lifeline. Mysterious wet and dry cycles mould this landscape and dictate the nature of its wild inhabitants. This is Savute, and for the moment, the channel is dry.

Savute Safari Lodge peers out from ancient camelthorn trees on the shore of the channel. The lounge, library and cocktail bar are situated in the exquisite thatch and timber main building, where an upstairs viewing deck allows Savute's enchanting sunsets to mesmerise guests. A large fireplace downstairs is equally inviting on winter nights, while the delicious aroma of dinner and the prospect of candlelit dining beckons guests to the elegant dining room. The lodge also boasts a swimming pool and shaded viewing deck, both of which overlook the channel, and where afternoon tea is served and guests can sit around the camp fire after dinner.

Accommodation is offered in 12 tastefully furnished twin-bedded luxury wood and thatch safari suites, accommodating a maximum of 24 guests. The unique design of the suites with their spacious interior and large glass sliding doors sets the lodge apart from typical safari accommodation. Private viewing decks and en-suite facilities combine luxury and comfort with a classic wilderness experience.

Daily game drives are available in open 4x4 safari vehicles in the Savute area of the Chobe National Park, including the Savute Marsh and a visit to Gubatsa Hills and ancient San rock paintings.
