Description
Arm yourself with a bottle of Cape bubbly for a Bluesy sunset concert
Going Back to The Crossroads featuring Natasha Meister brings an international collective of some of the best Blues singers in the industry – Jimmy Thomas, Michael Roach and Sam Smith, backed by a band of musical experts, including Danny McCormack, Paul Corry, Matt Cowley, Roger Innes and Dave Day. The singers are all stars in their own right with major careers in the Blues world.
The show is a musical journey through the history of the Blues movement with stories and music from the artists that were there at the time. They developed the modern Blues sounds with the likes of BB King, Buddy Guy and Santana. The show gives a personal insight into the musical style of Blues and the people that influenced it.
Singer and songwriter Natasha Meister has become our very own Blues Queen. At only 20, she has made a huge impact on discerning SA audiences, especially in the Blues/Funk niche. Natasha has a great bluesey, Motown voice, plays phenomenal electric and acoustic guitar and is a gifted songwriter.
Concerts take place at Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden on Sundays from 17:30 – 19:00. Gates open at 16:00. For further information and ticket prices, please telephone 021 799 8783/8620 or visit www.sanbi.org. Tickets can be booked on www.webtickets.co.za.
