Description
Just as the sun starts going down so the musicians come out to play! March 21 presents the rich sounds of the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra. Known as South Africa’s ‘orchestra for all seasons’, the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra prides itself on delivering world-class musical experiences for all communities in the Western Cape.
The glorious sounds of the Orchestra will resonate across Kirstenbosch Gardens and provide the perfect relaxation for a summer Sunday afternoon. With conductor Pieter Daniel, sit back and relax with Rossini’s La gazza ladra Overture.
Acclaimed classical guitarist, James Grace, is the soloist with the haunting Spanish Concierto De Aranjuez by Rodrigo and the closing item is Tchaikovsky’s Symphony N 4. A departure from the high voltage bands playing during the season, this is one concert that will attract a wide audience.
