Moon Mountain Lodge is an ultra-luxury tented lodge ideally located in the Naukluft Mountains. The lodge was built and completed in 2009 on the Moon Mountain Top as fixed "tented rooms" with all the comforts of a room, but the airy feeling of a tent. Moon Mountain Lodge is ideally situated for guests wanting to visit the world’s highest dunes in Sossusvlei, as the lodge is only 50 km away from the entrance gate and close to the quaint little town of Solitaire.

At Moon Mountain Lodge all of our rooms offer breathtaking views of the Namib Naukluft scenery, including mountains, dunes, springbok, oryx, mountain zebra, and birds. Accommodation comprises 11 Luxury Rooms and six Executive Suites, with the the lodge’s Nebula Restaurant offering seating for up to 46 people and serving traditional Namibian cuisine. The Cosmos Bar is fully licensed and boasts a large adjoining sun deck from which stars can be gazed upon at night. The deck also presents a spectacular view of the petrified dunes of the Namib Desert and sunsets to awe you. As we strive to keep noise pollution to a minimum and guest relaxation as a priority, rooms are not fitted with TVs. The lodge does however feature a small cinema, complete with large flat screen TV, surround sound, DVD player, and DStv.

Moon Mountain lodge is also an exquisite venue to have your wedding. With the stunning view and natural surroundings, there is almost no reason to change the décor. We cater for weddings for up to 60 people and all arrangements can be take care of by the lodge.

In the foothills of the Grootberg massif, in stunning scenery set amidst the ancient Etendeka lava flows of northern Damaraland, you will find Etendeka Mountain Camp. Here the ancient basalt has been slowly eroded over millennia, leaving scattered boulders lying upon dramatic flat-topped mountains.

The emphasis here is on nature, and this eco-friendly camp bears testimony to her many riches. Accommodation is in ten en-suite meru tents, which are connected by pathways to the main dining tent. Extensive use is made of solar power throughout, both in the kitchen and the guest bathrooms, as well as for general electricity requirements. Necessary comforts have not been overlooked though, and these include flush toilets, hot-and-cold running water and the stunning open-air bucket showers. Simple, fresh, wholesome meals are prepared, either on solar or on open fires, and enjoyed under African skies.

Your days here are spent exploring the area on foot and in open game drive vehicles with the exceptionally knowledgeable guides. This is not a fast paced safari, but rather a privileged introduction to an environment that holds many of Namibia’s unique natural attractions.

Okahirongo River Camp is an eco-friendly lodge built on a sweeping ridge, with breathtaking views of the Kunene River. The central area, constructed above the rapids, comprises two lounges, a library and dining room decked out in African elegance. The turquoise waters of the swimming pool spell out refreshment from the desert heat while the spacious sun deck invites sunbathing or simply delighting in the exotic grandeur of the natural surroundings. Excellent service, delicious African-Italian cuisine and exquisite South-African wines will round of your stay and make Okahirongo River Camp a most memorable safari experience.

Tucked far into the north western reaches of Namibia, the Marienfluss region is a remote wilderness area where the rough roads and lack of facilities keep travellers at bay. The Skeleton Coast Park borders the area in the west and the Kunene River, known to be rife with crocodiles, bisects the area in the north, creating a natural boundary with Angola.

The Marienfluss valley extends between two sets of mountains. Explore the magical surroundings on an early morning walk or a scenic drive into the mountains or golden sand dunes complete with unforgettable sundowners. The wonders of the Kunene River provide plenty of entertainment, be it fly-fishing or cruising along the river in awe of the rich bird life and mighty crocodiles.

Epupa Camp consists of nine luxury Safari-style Tents erected on stone platforms, each with two single beds and an en-suite bathroom. All of the tents have electricity and mosquito netting and an outside, shaded balcony overlooking the tranquil Kunene River. Large makalani palms overhead provide welcome shade from the midday sun. A minimum stay of two nights, ideally three, is recommended to fully benefit from everything the Epupa area has to offer.

The adjacent dining room and lounge area also face the Kunene River, along with a lounging pool for cooling down from the midday heat or enjoying a glass of sparkling wine while watching the sun set.

Our five exclusive campsites, under huge ana and makalani trees, allow for a camping in a secluded, shady and quiet corner along the Kunene River. Our campsites combine the use of local material with pleasing attention to detail to allow for a most memorable stay in Namibia.

Each campsite has a river view and has private ablution facilities, consisting of a shower with warm and cold water, flush toilets and two hand basins, a braai area, and a sink for dishes. The campsites are spacious to easily allow a group of ten guests with five vehicles with off-road trailers or caravans. Campers are ensured of falling asleep to the sounds of only the rapids of the Kunene River, nocturnal animals and birds. Camping guests are welcome to use the Epupa Camp facilities. Meals and activities can be booked with the camp management upon arrival. The local community sells firewood at the campsite and also offers a laundry service. Our staff can assist you to negotiate this with the community.

Our campsite is situated about 1 km, an easy walk, from the Epupa Falls. You can meander along the river bank or through the village. Enquire at check-in about self-hiking trails and guided trails. Epupa Camp offers a wide range of activities that give you a rare opportunity to explore this fascinating corner of the world, including visits to a Himba settlement, sundowner sunset drives, rafting, bird-watching boat trips, and visits to Epupa Falls.

Etambura is Namibia’s first Himba co-owned camp situated in Orupembe Conservancy, on top of one of the highest hills above the holy plains of Onjuva, where livestock and springbok peacefully graze together.

There are five canvas and thatch chalets, one of which is wheelchair friendly, each with its own private deck extending from the hill. Built on a wooden platform and, in some cases, on stilts, each unit is positioned to optimize the view.

The horseshoe-shape of our recreational area, built from natural materials, fully blends in with the contours of a hill-top skyline. Enjoy your meals on the circular deck with spectacular views over the hills and plains, or in the spacious dining room. Should you just want to relax, settle down in the cool comfort of our lounge area.

Etambura is the ideal place to relax with the sounds of bird life and the rustle of trees. The rich hues of purple-pod terminalia with unimpeded 360 degree views make this unique spot unforgettable. After a game drive, where you might be fortunate enough to see black rhinos, enjoy a stroll and explore the hill with its many widespread species of plants and shrubs.
