Description
Do you dream of walking or just sitting safely on the beach in the moonlight? Well you can do just that when the Muizenberg Moonlight Meander takes place on Muizenberg beach at full moon on Saturday 31 December. Most restaurants will be open, or you can bring a picnic basket.
Unleash your creative spirit and dress up for the occasion. Bring along a musical instrument if you would like to, as this would add to the festivities. There are plans for music, dancing and drumming, and a "guided" walk in the moonlight to Sunrise Circle or St. James.
Need to know? Participation is free but as this is a SAFER TOGETHER fundraising initiative donations will be most welcome. Candles will be on sale for a minimum donation of R5 in aid of supplying radio transceivers to help build a communication network and link up role players in all areas to promote safety throughout the greater Muizenberg area. Please bring your own candle holder. Just cut the base off an empty 2 litre plastic cold drink bottle! (All money raised will go towards the purchase of radio transceivers for the Muizenberg Precinct Neighbourhood Watch Association.)
Please support the people who support SAFER TOGETHER Community Safety Fund.
Walk starts at 18h30. Accompanied by members of the Neighbourhood Watch Association. Meet at the SAFER TOGETHER table in front of Knead Bakery and restaurant. There is ample parking and roaming car guards will be on duty. Alcohol and dogs are not permitted on the beach which has just been awarded Blue Flag status.
