Mpumalanga Self-catering

Wetlands Country Lodge is a wonderful, tranquil and family orientated escape for guests. The accommodation comprises two lovingly furnished, self-catering cottages, namely Highlands Cottage and Wetlands Cottage.

This accommodation is for hikers and is a fine nostalgic start to any of our two, three, four, and five-day hikes.

We offer two private cottages that are fully-equipped and self-catering, with braai facilities, built-in cupboards and the use of a swimming pool. The stoep is covered and has mosquito protection. Our accommodation is serviced daily, has DStv and en-suite bathrooms with a shower only. Linen and towles are provided.

Situated on the outskirts of Graskop and overlooking the beautiful Mpumalanga escarpment you will find our guest farm. The name Zur Alten Mine is German and means 'to the old mine'.

Hide away for the weekend in quaint little Dullstroom where folks know how to treat winter.

Berghuisie is a fairytale-like mountain cottage. The cottage is fully equipped for self-catering with a wooden deck overlooking the largest natural basin on planet earth. It sleeps a maximum of four guests in two separate rooms with one double bed and two single beds.

The Ngwenya Lodge Self-catering Unit offers two bedrooms, plus an additional sleeper couch, allowing it to sleep up to six guests. The unit is set on the very edge of the Crocodile River.

Mientjie Park is situated in the escarpment of Mpumalanga, in the small town of Sabie. Sabie was popular as a camping and resting place for hunters and explorers long before the discovery of gold in the vicinity.

Deep in the African bush nestled among the ancient indigenous trees on the banks of the Crocodile River lies the majestic LeoLapa, Mjejane Game Reserve. The Southern part of the Kruger National Park is renowned for its superb game viewing, but the select area of LeoLapa has been a best kept secret in honour of its awesome beauty.

Middelburg is on the way to Kruger National Park. Middelburg is a modern agricultural and industrial centre. 13km away, via a turn-off on the road to Loskop Dam is Fort Merensky, built by the Sothos and missionary Reverend Merensky, father of the famous geologist, against marauding warriors. Near the fort is an Ndebele village forming part of the Botshabelo Open Air Museum.

Kudu Cottage - Getaway Bush offers safe and comfortable self-catering accommodation in Marloth Park, which borders the southern region of the famous Kruger National Park and just 100 m from the Crocodile River, where any of the Big 5 can be viewed.

Dullstroom Nature Reserve is set in quiet, peaceful and very scenic surroundings. It is close to the Crocodile River and the magnificent meandering Steenkamp’s Berg Valley.

Marloth Park is a holiday town situated next to the Crocodile River, which forms part of the southern boundary of the Kruger National Park.

Fully furnished and equipped self-catering apartment is located next to walking distance from Nelspruit Medi-Clinic. The apartment sleeps four guests and a toddler/baby. Main bedroom has a double bed and baby cot. Second bedroom has two single beds, bathroom, lounge, lovely view, no braai facility.

Anford House and Restaurant is ideally situated between Johannesburg and Nelspruit and the Kruger National Park just off the N4 highway and offers accommodation and bed and breakfast facilities to travelers. It is also an ideal venue for a weekend get away with some excellent fly fishing only 2 hours from Gauteng. Anford House and Restaurant also caters for small conferences and weddings.
