It’s getting hot out there! Grab your family and friends and head to the Garden Route for the biggest summer festival in South Africa. The Summer Sun Festival takes place at the Diaz Strand Hotel in Mossel Bay from the 8th of December 2009 to the 8th of January 2010.
Attracting more than a million visitors each year, this festival has it all from wine, beauties to music. And don't miss the first Diaz Decadence Festival, featuring an Amsterdam-esque street festival with a feast of fine wine. Cellars across the country will be partaking in this event which takes place from the 12th till the 14th of December 2009.
The highlight of the festival is the Miss Diaz beauty pageant. Twelve stunning women will converge on the same stage to compete for the 2009 Miss Diaz Strand title. The winner automatically qualifies for entry into the 2010 Miss South Africa Pageant. The Miss Diaz pageant will take place on 27 December 2009 and is guaranteed to be a fabulous night out.
