Situated in a dramatic seafront setting, The Mitford offers unparalleled views onto the waves, rocks and cliffs. With 14 unique units ranging in size from small to large, up to eight people can be accommodated comfortably.

The self-catering units each have a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, a fridge, a stove, a toaster, a kettle and cooking/eating utensils. The large deck in front of the dining room is a favourite place for dolphin watching, and the perfect place to sip a sundowner at the end of the day.

Braai facilities are conveniently located around the premises and there is a pool table adjacent to the bar. There are no radios, televisions, or telephones in the flats - with the natural attractions on your doorstep, they are considered superfluous - however, there are several TVs in the communal areas. A basic cleaning service is provided and a laundrette is available for full service or self-operating.

Good fishing, safe sea bathing, surfing, both gentle and invigorating walks, and birdwatching are all within easy walking distance. Tennis, squash, bowls and golf activities are available at nearby Kei Mouth, which also has an aircraft landing strip. The nearby Double Mouth Nature Reserve is an attraction for shell collectors, who sometimes also find semi-precious Carnelian beads and shards of Ming china which are still washed ashore from early shipwrecks.

Morgan’s Bay has the unspoilt beauty and seclusion of the Wild Coast, and is renowned for its pristine white beaches and dunes. The topography is delightfully varied with a large, tranquil tidal lagoon, expansive beaches, rugged rocks and magnificent sea cliffs.

Wild Coast Horseback Adventures at Sunray Farm is situated on the hilltops overlooking the seaside...
Wild Coast Horseback Adventures at Sunray Farm is situated on the hilltops overlooking the seaside villages of Kei Mouth, Morgan Bay and Haga Haga, with the farm cascading towards the great Kei River and the distant sea. Sunray Farm offers the chance to experience farmhouse hospitality, along with a family who is passionate about living their dream of offering horse-riding holidays and horseback trails. Other activities include deep-sea and rock surf fishing, game viewing and bird watching.

The Farmhouse offers no frills accommodation, just genuine unpretentious farm house hospitality in a setting that allows guests to relax, de-stress and escape their everyday life. The guest room is suitable for visitors on horse-riding holidays and features its own private shower and toilet, three single beds, and a small sitting area. Tea and coffee-making facilities are also provided.

The Loft forms part of the original farm house and offers dormitory backpacker-type accommodation. A bedroom loft has been created in the high pitched roof and sleeps four comfortably, with an additional two downstairs in a small bedroom. All meals are provided at the main homestead and all bedding is provided, excluding towels. The lounge opens onto a patio with endless views and the loft is also equipped with a TV, DVD and Hi-Fi, as well as a small fridge, microwave and tea and coffee-making facilities.

Meals are informally taken in the main homestead dining room around a large farmhouse dining table that can seat up to 12 people. Our delicious home-cooked meals, made fresh everyday, are mostly sourced from produce from our farm or from our neighbours. Guest are welcome to bring their own wine and beer.

We have an extensive network of trails and tracks that meander through the farm; walk freely through stunning indigenous bush and forests searching for wild game, from the huge kudu to the tiny blue duikers. Warthog, impala, bush buck and blesbok roam the farm and you will also bump into a Nguni cow or two. The birdlife is prolific; crested cranes, fish eagles, hawks, herons, loerie and more. Fly-fishing and bass fishing are also permitted on the farm dams.

In addition, we have our own tennis court in the garden, while other more adventurous activities include golf, bowls, squash, abseiling, quad biking, pain ball, 4x4 trails, game farms, restaurants, trips to the Transkei, hiking trails, paddling, and mountain biking all within a short drive of the farm.
