Baobab Grill and Cafe

Myself and 4 work colleagues went for dinner to baobab. 1 of the colleagues is German and was looking forward to the meal as he loves South African food. He order the Prawn & Chicken Potjie. The food was terrible, my steak was supposed to be medium but it was well cooked and burnt in places, 2 other colleagues also ordered steak and their's was also burnt. The German at maybe 1/4 of his meal and sent it back. The worst part was that we waiting 30min for drinks and over an hour for our food!! We all agreed we will not ever dine at baobab. Recommendation: Rather go somewhere else if you don't want your evening spoilt by the inept staff, chef and management.

The food is quite good, but the service is inefficient and the management has no understanding of how to run a restaurant.

I had the most amazing first time experience at Baobab. The atmosphere was superb and the decor is to die for. I loved the private dining area for those romantic evenings and the food was plain wonderful. I cannot wait for my next experience.
