Is too much fast food and fast living getting you down? Leave the rat race for a weekend and fortify your spirit at the Robertson Slow. The stunning Robertson Wine Valley has a wonderfully healthy philosophy - slowly made, slowly enjoyed.
From the 7th till the 10th of August time will go by exceptionally slowly in the beautiful Robertson Wine Valley when the 3rd Robertson Slow will take place. 28 Wineries and Guesthouses from Ashton, Bonnievale, McGregor and Robertson will welcome visitors into their homes, to their dining tables and onto their farms for a food & wine experience - enjoyed slowly.
Guests can look forward to dinners at the homes of winemaking families who will be cooking traditional Robertson Country Fare such as waterblommetjie bredie, 7-course organic meal, tripe and Karoo venison. As always wine will be central to the weekend and you will have ample opportunity to meet with the winemakers to taste and discuss their wines. The weekend will also include some great options where you can learn to make salami, try your hand at making pasta or bake your own vetkoek! Other activities will include horse riding, boating and Fynbos and Renosterveld walks as well as Nordic hiking.
On Sunday get to their 2nd annual Regional Food Market where local foodies & cooks alike bring the finest from their kitchens. With live music and plenty of food, this is one of the highlights of the weekend and not to be missed!
