Little Karoo Camping and Caravanning

This small and friendly backpackers is located in a cheerful old house with a large, shady garden and swimming pool. Set in a leafy and historic neighbourhood, it’s a peaceful place that’s just a short walk from the town centre.

With vines to one side and a kranz to the other, Calitzdorp Railway Station offers travellers an idyllic space to rest before venturing forth to explore the surrounding Route 62 area. Guests have a choice of staying in the backpackers, Safari Tents or camping on the lovely grounds.

Amber Lagoon is a backpacker´s dream buried in the heart of the Klein Karoo, bordered by the Swartberg Mountains and the Gamka Nature Reserve.

Come enjoy the serene and tranquil beauty of Matjiesvlei, situated at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains between Calitzdorp and Ladismith, where farming dates back as far as 1821.

Stompdrift Dam Resort and Camping can be found on the biggest dam in the Klein Karoo, with a 25 km circumference. We are nestled between the Swartberg and Kamanassie Mountain Ranges.

Die Bosvarkie can be found near the small Karoo town of Calitzdorp on Route 62 and offers guests 60 caravan and campsites on shaded grass. Each site is equipped with power points and the shared ablution facilities have hot water and consist of showers only.

This rustic rondavel can sleep up to four people. Enjoy beautiful views of the mountains in a safe area. It has a double bed and two single beds. The bathroom consists of a hot and cold water shower and separate toilet. The kitchen area has all the basic utensils.
