Kroon River Cottage is situated on the banks of the Vals River which flows through Kroonstad. The lovely wooden Cottage is raised and consists of one bedroom furnished with a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath only.

The River Village Inn is a spacious double-story house overlooking the surrounding river, cliffs and bushveld. The inn lies in a holiday area about 15 km from Parys with its many arts and antique shops to peruse. We are in the Vredefort Dome Heritage area with loads of activities of its own.

Hire a self-drive houseboat. Take the helm of a houseboat and navigate the Vaal Barrage! Cruise the 55kms of South Africa’s most dynamic, permanently navigable inland waterway. The houseboat can sleep up to five people. An easy hour’s drive south from Joburg and you can be on your own self-drive.
