Kimberley is a must for all South African scholars to visit. It has a rich history and some great examples of Victorian architecture.

The amenities and facilities around theBig Hole has been vastly improved since 2005. It makes a visit to Kimberley so much more attractive. What a pity the tram does not run through the city. Difficult to understand this as all the possibilities for this are there - the rail as well as the overhead power supply. This will be a further attaction to Kimberley.

Much has been done to the area of the "big Hole" since my last visit in 2006. This area is a must see - especially for historians.

Kimberley is a wonderful historical town with amazing history just a pity after Christmas alot of places close and that info supplied by tourist info centre was not all accurate. Not really a town for families with young children as not much for kids to do. Would love to be able to view flamingoes closer from a viewpoint. The Big Hole etc. And museums etc well worth a visit and so is Mokala National Park.

We loved Kimberley. People are friendly and courteous. We had an awesome day at the "Big Hole" and enjoyable stay at Carrington Lodge. The tram ride was great fun. After a hot day, we popped into the Kimberley Club for cold draughts and staff were friendly and helpful. Kimberley has a huge amount of history. Unfortunately, we did not have time to visit museums. Go Kimberley Go!

Our guide was very knowledgable about the San and the local rock art and spared no effort to answer all our questions. The Gallery staff were very proud of their excellent collection.

POTHOLES, POTHOLES and more POTHOLES. Aggressive people pushing in supermarkets and aggressive behaviour on the road! Badly marked roads....

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Kimberley. The Big hole and the renovated environment is most interesting and clean. The citizens are friendly and most helpful. Dr Marie Nel.

Good day. I staid over in Kimberley 2 weeks ago and only had an opportunity available to make arrangements for staying whilst enroute. Safari now was able to assist me and thus accomodation turned out to be wonderful, price perfect and warm (apart from the winter chill) referreing to the welcome. I was only able to experience Kimberley from around 16:00 in the afternoon but was very impressed as to the amount of shopping centres available as well as all the ammentities. I was enduring a spout of Bhronco Pneumonia whilst there and was quickly and effeiciently assisted at the Kimblerey Medi Clinic. My business meetings went well and it was a truly sad situation that I had to depart the next day but was greeted with one of the most beautiful sunrises I have evenr seen. i have travelled a lot and the sunrise over Kimberley I will gladly compare with the surise you see whilst in Singapore.

You might not find diamonds but the town is a true gem to be explore. We had a farm stay for 2 nights in December and wanted to show our children the history behind the town. Our accommodation was great value and everything we saw and experienced was a treat for the children. The history at the big hole was educational and the guides well informed. C Lodewyks. The Big Hole Museum complex is well maintained and worth a visit. We went on a guided tour which was very informative and interesting. Shopping malls in close vicinity.

We have entertainment for the whole family. Enjoy shopping at the beautiful Malls with lots of restaurants, clothing shops, entertaining shops etc. Enjoy a trip on the tram through Kimberley. Visit the lion farm on the Boshoff Road out of town. Follow the old war trail and visit the museums. Take a trip on the water with a vlot at Barclay West. Enjoy the Ghost trail with friends.

The attractions, such as the museums, are well signposted. You need more than a day to see all there is.

We met the most friendly people in Kimberley. It's an extremely clean city, and a great place to visit for historical background. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we weren't accosted at traffic lights and stop streets by beggars; it made a really nice change!

Convenient stop-over returning from Mossel Bay/George. N12 relatively quiet - and in good condition - compared with N1 over holiday period.

Kimberley is a small town. The language barrier was my biggest concern because I’m not accustomed to either Setswana or Afrikaans spoken in the area. The sights were very interesting and helped build my knowledge on the history of SA. Accommodation was easy to find, although one needed to be very careful regarding the quality of the places you went to. Finding a good spa was a bit of a task, but overall I was pleased with the visit.
