We entered Lesotho at the Ficksburg Border Post and found Customs on both sides very pleasant.Upon entering Lesotho we found a total absence of sign posts so make sure that you know exactly where you are going!The drive from the Border Post to the Dam is magificient but one needs to excercise caution as the roads in Winter can be dangereous.We stayed over-night at the "Orion Lodge Katse"which turned out to be nothing other than the original construction camp accommodation.Although clean it was very cramped and unsuitable for the rates charged.Meals were very mediocre.Visiting hours of tour of the Dam wall should be revised to cater for visitors staying over.Overall a well worth trip as the roads are excellent.Would certainly recommend this trip.Other than the Dam there is not a great deal to see other than the country-side which was snow covered.

The Katse Botanical Garden really impressed us and we would love to see it again! The dam of course is magnificent. More time for a boat trip would have been great.
