The Mexican
The Mexican is a popular restaurant situated in central Jeffrey's Bay, known for it's good California style Mexican food and great vibe. The cocktails coming out of the lively bar are legendary and often there's live music.
Located above J Bay’s Country Feeling Surf Shop, the décor is decidedly Mexican with wall murals painted by well known local artist Steven Bibb. The cocktail bar also often doubles as the local golf club’s 19th hole with fellow members joining Michelle and Warren, The Mexican owners and keen golfers back at the restaurant.
The extensive range of cocktails includes the superb Blue Margherita and can be sampled on the deck whilst watching the day’s last waves roll in on J Bay's famous Kitchen Windows beach.

Wax Cafe
The Wax Cafe is known for its vibe and fantastic menu. Opened in 2005, Wax is one of Jeffreys Bay's more established restaurants.
Starting as a small coffee shop, it has seen the addition of a bigger kitchen and extension of the seating area. The staff at the Wax have always added to the ambience. The music playlists add to the ‘vibe’ of the Wax, ranging from African, Cuban and Jazz in the day, to House and lounge at later hours of the night.
With its laid back ‘vibe’ many people compare it to Long Street in Cape Town. Often the first thing people comment on is the ‘vibe’, one customer even describes it as the center of the Universe. While that may be disputed, Wax is definitely the centre of Jeffreys Bay. Situated on the main road and just a couple minutes from the beach, the Wax Cafe certainly can’t get more central.
