Massimo's Pizza Club

Conviviality (from Latin: a feast, entertainment, a banquet)

This word personifies the Pizza Club, where you will experience the best pizza night you can imagine.

In one evening, and for a set price, you can enjoy a starter, share as many wood-fired, thin based authentic pizzas as you can eat, followed by delicious home-made ice-creams and desserts.

The pizza club has a great variety of very good pizzas, does takeaways, and is a very relaxing way to spend an evening with friends...

DUNES Restaurant and Bistro

Right on Hout Bay beach, Dunes restaurant has awesome views of Chapman's Peak, the Sentinel, the bay and of course the beach. The setting lends itself for every occasion and it’s a stunning spot for sundowners. During the day it is very popular with parents and their pipsqueaks who have immense fun in the giant sandy playground with various swings and jungle gyms. The kids’ menu is also a hit!

Kitima

Kitima is a relatively new addition to Hout Bay cuisine, but has been a huge success from the day it opened.
Located in the historic Kronendal premises, the restaurant has been designed with its Thai / Asian theme in mind, but managed to keep the original aesthetic of the building intact.

The menu is amazing (you shouldn't miss the dim sum) , the cocktail list very impressive and service and attention to detail are of a high standard.

There is a great lounge where you may drink cocktails or arrival, or linger a while and order from the starter menu, and the recently opened Raya lounge caters for smart events.

On Sunday afternoons a very reasonable buffet is offered.

This is an upmarket establishment and prices are in line with that, but well worth it.  It's very popular, so book at least a week in advance.

Chapmans Peak Restaurant

Nestled at the foot of the picturesque Chapman's Peak Drive lies the The Chapmans Peak Hotel Restaurant. Regarded as a local institution, having been established over 30 years ago, it has earned the reputation of being the grand old lady of outdoor seafood restaurants in Cape Town.

The menu offers a variety of seafood items from West Coast lobster (crayfish), prawns and fresh fish or combinations thereof. The house specialty being succulent calamari, served in the pan, renowned for being the most tender and tastiest calamari in the World.

Calamari at the Chapman's Peak was voted as "one of top 20 things to do in Cape Town". Seafood might be the specialty of the restaurant, but grilled steaks and venison are a must.

A popular meat dish is the “Portuguese Steak”
– cubed fillet served with our secret sauce – served in a pan. Also served is the typical Portuguese Espetada – steak on a skewer. Looking for somewhere with a fireplace during those cold winter night? Look no further than the Chapman Peak Restaurant.

Sibanye Restaurant

This new restaurant in Mandela Park is breaking barriers and becoming the talk of Hout Bay! Sibanye is Xhosa, and it means "we are one!" This funky township initiative is attracting a vibrant mix of white suburbanites and township folk all hungry for more than just a good meal. It's a place where South Africans, black and white can laugh and eat together around the table and build friendships like that of the two young entrepeneurs who started it. Eat truly South African fare like yummy chicken livers with "ngwinya" or pap and meat ladled with tomato "smoor"

Need to know? Open Monday to Saturday 9am to 9pm. Bookings are essential for lunches.
