It is almost as if one is in a fairy tale with the mist and soft rain. Beautifully decorated rooms with stunning walks around the hotel. Their pub was a real treat and enjoyed the waiter. Very professional environment with great service

I have been to Hogsback twice now and I absolutely love it there. It is the perfect place for a romantic getaway. The scenery, waterfalls and walking trails are amazing and it would be a sin to miss seeing them. The people there are so friendly and helpful and the events that take place in Hogsback, like Christmas in July, should not be missed. The festival was beautiful and the family of people in Hogsback made you feel apart of them. I say again the sites there are so beautiful, especially near the labyrinth, where you can view the mountains. I stayed at the hotel in Hogsback and I never wanted to leave. Thank you again Hogsback for your amazing hospitality and giving me memories I will never forget.

My husband has always said he would like to go and see Hogsback - so when the time allowed we made a booking and what a wonderful surprise! It is beautiful! The view from our cottage was spectacular and the walks stunning. My husband and daughters went to the waterfall - a ferry garden for sure! Going in June is freezing! Nico & Lizél Grobbler

It was our first trip to Hogsback and used it to celebrate our first anniversary. We were amazed at the amount to do in Hogsback and have planned another trip in October. The scenary is stunning! We stayed at Maple Grove, the cottage couldn't have been nicer and Lindsay was an excellent host. Watched the rugby at Happy Hogs, in their delightful pub, with the log fire pumping, creating a lovely atmosphere. On our last day, we had a quick lunch at Butterfly's Bistro - delicious! All in all, a great trip away!

Lieflike omgewing. Enige stapper se droom. Die inwoners laat 'n mens welkom en tuis voel. Die feetjie tuin sal enige dogtertjie se drome bewaarheid. Mistige weer met 'n bekoring van sy eie.

Hogsback is not the normal tourist destination; you need to discover the forest trails through ancient indigenous yellow-woods towering above, waterfalls and streams cooling the air; mountain heights giving views of the blue valleys below; and misty days thetre is a magical glow.

Die staproetes en waterval is 'n lus vir die oog. Baie van die winkeltjies was toe. The walking trails and waterfall were a pleasure to see. Many of the shops were closed during our visit.

Hogsback has a great "feel" about it. Quiet and serene place to get away from it all. Nature lovers will enjoy the town and the wonderful flora, hiking trails etc. It is a very quiet little town and will appeal to people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

We went during the spring festival when all the flowers were blooming; an unbelievable variety of colours in the beautiful gardens.

Dit is 'n pragtige omgewing. Daar is baie gastehuise. Die winkels het die nodigste. Maar die OTM dienste is power. It is a beautiful area. There are many guest houses. The shops have the essentials but the ATM services are very poor.

Hogsback is simply amazing. This is certainly one of the jewels of the Eastern Cape. Rugged mountains, warm friendly folk and awesome scenery are to be expected. Good food is served from a variety of restaurants in the area.

Hogsback is a magical destination for a holiday for adults and children alike. We loved visiting the labyrinth at The Edge and thoroughly enjoyed the Fairy Realm with scuptures of fairy folk by artist Patrick Smith. We were there with young children and so enjoyed walks in the arboretum and to 39 Steps Waterfall, as well as the forest. Hogsback is wonderful in all weather; we enjoyed the lovely spring flowers and the log fires during the cool evenings. The air is so fresh and lovely!

This is a magic little village. It makes you feel you are amidst the fairies. It has a wonderful warm, arty and wholesome feel about it. Wonderfully located in the mountains, it serves great for hiking and mountain biking.
