Great Holiday destination - Good views, great food and exciting experiences!
Mr. & Mrs. Venter - What an experience, seeing and touching the cheetahs at the Emdoneni Cat Rehabilitation Centre. Driving through the Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve and seeing those beautiful wild animals in their natural environment, the views are amazing for taking pictures.
We are definitely returning.
Nature's paradise - Hluhluwe is the gateway to the oldest game reserve in South Africa. We were amazed at the amount of wildlife we were privileged to see. Plenty of rhino, elephants, buck, zebras, giraffe, warthogs and buffalo. Unfortunately the big cats decided to hide from us so that gives us a reason to return.
- Not a pretty town and it will not satisfy shopping retail! The Information Centre does not operate (why?) but for everyday supplies there is a Spar and a Shoprite. The guy at the Engen garage was helpful and friendly. Puncture are also fixed efficiently at TyreMart.
Spacious and quiet - It seems to paradise or the end of the world but jeee we loved it! It isn't to compare with other nature reserves when you visit the wetlands.

Game heaven - Most diverse game viewing and breath taking landscapes. Great for short getaways and walking trails. Best for Rhino viewing and biggest concentration of white rhino.
Escape modern city living - This is a great place to escape the madness of city living. The natural surroundings are relaxing and it makes you appreciate Mother Nature. The activities in this area are enjoyed by young and old.
Great game! - Gorgeous setting and great game!
Christmas Day 2013 - We were in the game reserve, which is a great favourite of ours. We go regularly as we love the outdoors. The petrol station there has wonderful friendly staff.
Despite the rain - We never saw the sun, it rained and was cold throughout. We went horse riding and hippo and croc boat cruise which were awesome, we were unlucky at the Isimangaliso Wetland Park for the safari, there wasn't much to see.
Hluhluwe boating - Went on the boat cruise - it was very enjoyable although it was raining at times.
Game Drive into Hluhluwe - Very disappointing 6 hour game drive into Hluhluwe. Only game visible were rhino and giraffe (virtually a couple of each in three/four groups), a few buffalo on a ridge, a couple of Nyala here and there, two warthogs and a partridge in a pear tree - and that was it. Not up to the normal game park viewings. Very, very disappointing.
Hluhluwe area - Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park was established on 30 April 1895 and is the oldest game reserve in Africa. After the recent veld burns it is stunning with all the new growth and animals all over.
Fishing is improving at False Bay, and birding is excellent in the whole area.
Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve visit - We had a lovely self-drive through Hluhluwe. Entered at Nyalazi gate. Visited the craft market and had lunch at Hilltop Camp. Exited at Memorial gate. Will definitely visit again! Duration was about 3 hours with the two stops. Our toddler enjoyed all the animals, often quite close.
Excellent - Excellent for birding, walks along the beach and of course, the Big 5

Animals galore - Close to Durban and great animals to be seen
Great place so close to Durban - Welcomed by both giraffe and elephant as we drove into the camp which was a lovely start and very fortunate to get close to three rhino too!
Worth a visit - I was shocked at the condition of the roads, way too many potholes for a destination visited by so many overseas guests not good at all.
As much as wild life should be kept wild, it would be an extremely good idea to have internet access so as to ping tourists as to where and at what time animals were sighted.
Quiet place to be - Loved the Game Drive saw lots of Rhino and Giraffe on the Road, and the Ilala Weavers, Tonga Studios so much talent. Good experience.

Good game drive - Enjoyed the game drive and the accommodation at Ezulwini Game Lodge. Did not get to see too many animals but will definitely consider coming back. Would suggest going for self catering holiday as there are not many food options in town.
Hluhluwe town - There are not many restaurants in the town.
Pleasant game drive - Hluhluwe is a very nice reserve and the hilltop camp is well located.
wonderful - It a great place when you want to be away from the urban life, it is peace of mind, great experience
Wildlife Gem - If you want to see wonderful wildlife then Hluhluwe is the place to go. It is so close to Hluhluwe where each visit is guaranteed to be an experience.
Activities - There is so much to do around Hluhluwe. Lovely place to stay and drive around during the day to do some sight seeing.
Hluhluwe - This town is situated near to the Hluhluwe Game Reserve, there are shops and a petrol station.
Hluhluwe Magic! - We loved the reserve and town of Hluhluwe - it was a magical experience. The staff at the park were awesome, the game prolific and the reserve very well maintained. We will be back!
Great Getaway - Hluhluwe is great to get away from the "city" life but I would suggest more daily activities in and around lodges in the areas that entertain kids and adults, like horse riding, quad biking, more reptile type parks, etc.
Wonderful park - This park is absolutly perfect if you want to see animals in their natural habitat. It is easy to do self drives and to get around in the park.
Hluhluwe Game Reserve - Very poor reception at the main gate and the staff are not in uniform. There is a lack of items at the shop as well. The picnic areas are well kept and are better than Umfolozi picnic areas, which are untidy and falling apart.
Great stopover - Great for a stopover - loved the reserve. New Year's eve not the ideal time to be in the town itself but good alternative to the beach crowds!

Great outdoors - Great outdoor destination. There is some fantastic birding, Big 5 wildlife and good mountain biking.
